Encouragement to not tunneling and camping

I'm not telling about some dramatic changes, and i'm not saying this will remove tunneling and camping at all.

But this suggestion will give some encouragement for killers to not kill.

My understanding was: what is the point of the trial. And answer: to make pain and suffering.

So the suggestion is:

Some changes in devout emblem.

But this would require game to understand few things:

  1. Killer distans from the hook.
  2. When killer leaves Hook area.
  3. If killer is in a chase.

And how this should work.

For every hook stage, killer get point.

For: 1 point there is bronze emblem. 4 ponits = silver emblem. 8 points = gold emblem. 12 points = iridiecent emblem.

If killer stay within 20m of the survivor for more than 5s when he reaches next stage, there is no points unless killer was in a chase.

    If you want to end tunneling you need to do two things:

    1. Survivors need to finish their objective much slower. This could be changed by making base gen time longer or by giving the killer deadlock base kit. Either way the killer should never lose two generators in the first chase. That needs to become the new norm.
    2. There needs to be a basekit reward better than tunneling. As an idea it would offer something like a stackable -8% speed penalty to working generators, totems, chests, healing, doors, etc., that is granted each time a survivor is hooked for the first time before anyone dies.

    Anything less efficient than tunneling one player out of the game will just make me continue to tunnel one player out with the first three hooks.


    Secondary problems that influence the need to tunnel include:


    Maps are too safe and to large if not playing Blight/Nurse.

    Gen speeds are too long relative to chase times.

    The survivor objective is too quick relative to the killer objective.

    But this is not a suggestion to end the tunneling. There are topics about ending tunneling and camping.

    This is topić about small changes to encourage more healthy playstyle.

    One think i could add is to adress this on tutorial.
