I am a huge Conjuring franchise fan, and in light of the recent production news I am hoping we see several of the icons added! For those who do not know, Behavior is working together with Blumhouse and Atomic Monster, the latter of the two being one of the production companies to the Conjuring universe. Annabelle is one of these titles, and the one I am most hopeful to see added. I know, at first glance one may say “But she is just a Doll, that does not fit in the Fog.” Hear me out because I have an idea that could not only function, but create something eery and new.

On to the concept!

There are Seven Generators on the map, so I think there should be Seven Annabelle’s. Each will be in their rocking chair facing the Generator. For those who do not know, the being who is actually behind Annabelle is a Demon. This Demon is tied to the Doll, but is seen able to leave the vessel in the films.

The nature of the killer is this, the player will be inside an Annabelle and can only pan the camera from side to side. Her eyes moving in their sockets as the killer is looking around. When a survivor enters the field of view the killer can “Stalk” the survivor. This will accumulate two effects. The killers power gauge will begin to fill, and the survivors paranoia gauge will begin to fill. The killer can Teleport to each Doll but within this stage the killer can not interact physically with the trial. When the killers power gauge is filled, the demon will manifest from the doll. I picture the animation will be a black smoke spilling from the doll onto the ground, and then the Killer standing up. They can be in trial for three minutes before returning to the Doll.

In this stage the killer can interact with, down, and hook the survivors like any normal killer can. When it is manifested the trial will shift, the terror radius impacting the entire board, I would like a darkness effect but Dredge has that…still something like it would be cool, and the paranoia gauge of the survivors increasing rapidly. It has an active power which will send a wave forward, any survivor this wave hits will experience a jump scare and their paranoia will increase.

When a survivor has its Paranoia gauge maxed out they will be unable to perform an interaction. The only way to lessen their paranoia is by standing around a fire barrel, or being nearby a fellow survivor. The survivor will also scream intermittently, reviewing them to the killer.

I am thinking Grey to Green add-ons will be to increase the speed of the power gauge progression, increase the time the killer is manifested, effects added to being maximum paranoia like exhaustion and oblivious essentially just your basic “buff” type perks. Purple add-ons would be to add additional effects to the power itself. I am thinking one will be to block every generator while the killer is “manifested,” allow the killer to rapidly teleport between dolls while manifested, see the aura of survivors in the FOV of dolls while manifested, things like that. The iridescent add-ons will be this: One will cause all survivors to be exposed when the killer is manifested, the other will be to change the “Jump scare” ability from a simple wave in front of the killer to a full terror radius sized effect. On top of this all survivors effected with the jump scare ability with this add-on will immediately have their paranoia gauge maxed out, additionally revealing their aura to the killer while max paranoia, and can not lessen it throughout the entire length of the killers manifestation.

These will provide interesting switches to game-play with the higher level add-ons and fun mixup potential. For the survivors this killer will force a different play style depending on if the killer is in the doll state or manifested state. They will having to be careful and monitor their paranoia gauge, and pay close attention to the Doll to see if they are being watched. It also will inspire survivors to spread out and not focus on one Gen at a time, which many do in both the lower level play and in SWFs. Combine Corruption with this killer and I imagine it’s early game will be a nightmare.

For the Mori, I would like the Killer to essentially rip the soul out of the survivor. Whether that be by a dementor style kill, if you’ve seen Harry Potter, or be more gruesome is hard to tell, but I would like there to be some fighting back from the survivor leading to a broken limb or two before they fail to get free and eventually die.

This killer wouldn’t need a map, I’d like the Conjuring map to either be Amityville house or the church for the Nun so if we get several Conjuring chapters I’d prefer the map go to one of those killers.
