I found a way to play "old" Freddy to some extent

Recently, I've found a build which transforms Freddy a bit to his old self. What did old Freddy have? He saw Survivors outside of his Terror Radius while in the Dream World and he slowed action speed down drastically. You can replicate those things a bit with the following build:

  • Lethal Pursuer (shows Survivor's Auras for 9 seconds at the start of the Trial and extends all Aura durations by 2 seconds)

This one is a good start, it gives all the information you need at the start, but that's not why we use it.

  • Hex: Face the Darkness (After hitting a Survivor, a Totem activates into a Hex and every Survivor outside of your Terror Radius scream and reveal their aura for 2 seconds, Lethal extends it to 4 seconds.)

This is one of the key Perks to give Freddy his old Aura reading back as Survivors outside of his Terror Radius will regurarely reveal themselves.

  • Hex: Plaything (After hooking a Survivor, that Survivor becomes oblivious and a Totem transforms into a Hex which they need to cleanse.)

This will make it where even awake Survivors will scream from the effects of "Face the Darkness" because they're oblivious even while not in the Dream World, giving Freddy tracking on Survivors inside and outside the Dream World.

  • Hex: Pentimento (After a Totem gets destroyed, you can rekindle them to add debuffs onto Survivors)

Old Freddy had a 50 % debuff for Survivors which are in the dream world, Pentimento kind of replicates this debuff by giving Survivors a 30 % action debuff when a broken Totem is rekindled.

All this which replicates Freddy's old power + his snares and teleport makes this a really good build to run on him. Add-ons aren't as decisive for this build, but I usually use double tp cooldown or Paint Brush + Masterpiece.

Try this if you can, I find it really fun and makes Freddy (at least for me) less boring.
