Leverage has been nerfed

Hi there! Fed up with the boons? The medkits? Are you sick of running sloppy butcher as the only viable anti-healing perk and want another option? Well, keep on waiting because Leverage has been nerfed!

How was it nerfed you ask? To quote the patch notes, "Leverage now applies only when healing others and not self-healing."

Did you think you were going to get an option to counter the self-heal meta? Well, too bad. 5% debuff perk stack for 30 seconds after a hook? Just too OP. Gotta restrict it to altruistic healing, the form of healing no one complains about.

Edit: I just realized something.

Are you a survivor player? Do you hate getting tunneled out immediately? Well, your complaints fall on deaf ears!

You see, with Leverage's outrageous nerf, this perk will only really affect the times the unhooker tries to heal the unhooked survivor. So, in essence, we have another perk that encourages the killer to tunnel more! Yay!!!!

"Leverage now applies only when healing others and not self-healing."

Welp. It was already really bad and got nerfed even further from the PTB. That's a pretty heavy nerf too since most everyone is self healing with medkits or CoH, no one really group heals.

I don't see a use for this perk in nearly any circumstance.

Eww, why would you want a perk that slows down healing, that’s so stinky. I’m glad they saved us from some sort of crazy, anti heal meta.

This change makes sense for Self Care, a perk that already gives the killer incredible value; Leverage doesn't need to punish the survivor more.

This change would also make sense if Boon: Circle of Healing only allowed the perk user to self-heal in the radius. Other injured survivors would only have their aura revealed to all the other survivors while in its radius.

Awful perk becomes even more awful. Thanks BHVR for your wondrous balance design decisions, once again.

At this point it sounds like a joke tbh, but here we are.

So, you hit someone, leave it hit 2 times another survivor, hook it and THEN first one have 30 seconds 5% slow, oh wait that survivor already heal in the time you where chasing.

Not even at full stacks from start i think its worth.

For real, i dont understand devs, how at this point they create such bad perks, im not asking for an ultra op perk, but damm is trash.

I dont see this perk prenerfed and starting with full stacks.

May be its me but this one looks Z tier and was nerfed into -Z tier.

It’s like they’re deliberately trying to make us run the same perks.

Tbh i think it should be a permanent effect instead of a timed effect

I like the game better when Killers let everyone get a chance to heal, it’s just way more fun that way

It is pretty amazing that the questionable decisions seem to get worse and more frequent over time, meanwhile changes that the community are screaming for take years to implement or they just get ignored. BHVR have every right to manage the game the way they want, but stuff like this is just head-scratching. The stagnation/decline of player count in recent months I think is a signal that players are getting fed up with the repeated questionable changes/ignoring of community feedback.

maybe they change it in their meta shake up in 3 months.

It does seem odd when self-healing is one of the main issues in this game, they make this perk -only- work against healing others. Weird.

It's kind of funny how they got so much feedback regarding her perks and instead of looking at the issue and solving they went ahead and killed Leverage. A perk that activates for 30 seconds when a survivor gets hooked and doesn't do anything unless the killer is winning anyway now got nerfed to only affect altruistic actions. Genius.

Wow that is a ######### change. Leverage actually sounded kinda interesting but if it doesn't work against CoH then you might as well just run sloppy.

Way to nerf what might have been an actually interesting and usable perk.

It needed a buff and they did that to it lmao.

    Absolutely unreal.

I feel like it was done this way because it'd make self-care even worse than it already is. If they were going to do that, it should've received a buff. 30/40/50% reduced altruistic healing speeds for 50 seconds after each hook.

For anyone who didn’t see this yet, this “nerf” didn’t actually happen despite the patchnotes saying otherwise:

Can confirm through testing it does still affect self-healing.
