Sooo the directional phasing sound hasnt been fixed yet with the new patch.....YIKES
got 5 games today against spirits running the mother-daughter ring addon and wasnt a good experience :/ +the directional phasing sound still being broken didnt help thats for sure...
Is there any news about fixing that asap or spirit getting killswitched?

Sound occlusion is supposed to affect game sounds. Have any of the clickbait videos, that say Spirit's direction audio is broken, shown a comparison to what her sound occlusion was like a few months ago?
As in, has any of these clickbait videos even proven that her directional audio had zero sound occlusion, and was always easily audible, a few months ago?

Sound issues plague this game for years with most of them hurting killers. You can deal with it.

when spirit was nerfed the directional phasing used to be exact like the more closer she is the more louder the phasing was SIMPLE
but now phasing makes 0 directional sound when there is a object / wall in between and becomes louder everytime.. sadly bringing back her guessing game as counterplay on many long wall loops...which is even more broken with the RING addon.
and not only that , when the spirit looses the directional phasing sound any survivor nearby will hear like the spirit is going into their direction regarding the spirit being 24 meters away from you...
this is how it suposse to work btw..... 🤦 4:30 is the best example

Why didn't you give 1:06 as an example instead, where Spirit was going around the shack? You know, the example where the streamer stays in one place the entire time Spirit didn't have line of sight, and doesn't react until Spirit turns around the corner and is within line of sight again? I honestly can't hear the directional audio over the heartbeat noises and the bell noises, when Spirit didn't have line of sight.
Why didn't you give 1:35 as an example instead, where the survivor goes around a wall, and I can't hear the directional audio for the last half of the wall. But we know Spirit was still phasing, because we see the husk a bit later, and Spirit is phasing up until the point where we hear the crystal noises and the husk starts disappearing.
My favorite example is 1:55, where I hear phasing, then I can't hear directional audio starting at 1:57, and I still can't hear directional audio until 1:59 when we can see a crow fly away (which is in our line of sight). I can hear directional audio from my left ear at 2:01, but then the streamer breaks line of sight and I can't hear the directional audio around 2:02, and we know Spirit is still phasing because we hear the crystal noises at 2:03 that signals the end of her phasing.
I would be perfectly fine if BHVR made Spirit's directional audio just like those examples I just gave, where maybe the directional audio is in there somewhere when line of sight is broken, but it's absolutely not a super clear directional audio 100% of the time, that is clearly audible over the other game noises.

It's only broken when it affects survivors. Killers have had issues with audio for long time but now that something affects survivors its end of the world.

How many times does this need to said? "This. Is. Not. Killswitch. Worthy." Yes it's a bug, but a killswitch is not meant for a small bug like this, it's meant for something that is game breaking or makes the game impossible to play. They aren't going to Killswitch a killer because of a small audio bug, people are overreacting on how bad this bug is anyways. As many comments have already said sound issues have plagued the game for years, this is nothing new.

meanwhile like "true" i can hear perfectly where she is.... idk what kinda of headsets u might had but is pretty clear for me to locate where shes is phasing...
outside of that..
well i gave up , people always brings the "us vs them" argument , this is for game health , spirit main counterplay is "AUDIO" you just cant make the argument of "yeah lets keep that broken too" because that being broken doesnt help that people can abuse that with her stronger addons , well lets see how much time takes BHVR to realize that....

It is not game breaking but rather annoying. People that say “deal with it” are the same ones that probably thought the “stand still mindgame” was fair. I dont really know how an invis entity going mach speed with no directional audio is fair. Every loop is a 50/50, and with her addon that gives killer instinct it’s basically gg. Also just because something is still “broken” doesnt mean that other problems should be ignored.

we do have an acknowledged bug report in on this, it should be fixed in a future update.
It's not thoroughly game breaking so it does not require a kill switch at this time.

Good to know BHVR considers something with zero counterplay to it to not be thoroughly game breaking. Explains some of the changes they have made to the "balance" of the game.

Can BHVR please review past game footage, to review how the directional audio functioned a year ago or a few months ago? Has BHVR determined that the directional audio has been different recently, than it was a year ago?
There is a video from a year ago attached to this forum thread, and in this forum thread I provided time stamps and feedback, showing that Spirit’s directional audio has always been affected by sound occlusion.
I’m hoping that BHVR makes an attempt to change Spirit’s directional audio to what it used to be, as opposed to just trying to delete the sound occlusion because a few clickbait videos claimed there has been a change in her audio.

TY , i was worried about this game advantage bug taking more than 2 month to be acknowledged , sure... i can handle this bug untill gets fixed but yeah its been a month and a half since spirit audio were broken soo.. when i saw nothing related to spirit in the recent patch notes i got confuse like...there is no waay people arent noticing that spirit went almost back to his old flip coins mindgames.

We have tested internallly and yes the audio is different and her directional audio is not currently working as it should.

Thank you for the response. I just hope that "working as intended" doesn't end up being a 100% crystal clear directional audio, that is 100% easily audible over all the game noises.
And for what it's worth, I honestly do hear sound occlusion in that year old video that is posted in this thread, and in that video, the other game noises are sometimes obscuring the directional audio when the survivor doesn't have line of sight of Spirit. I'm just afraid that "fixing" Spirit's directional audio will end up double nerfing her, where her "fixed" directional audio will be a bigger survivor buff than the directional audio she had a year ago.
