BHVR, is this patch a meme?
We got a new chapter with a weak killer that is neither fun to play as or against for most people. Perks that are on whole new level of bad or Blood Rush, which is a thing for itself. It's insanely strong and can only be countered by tunneling. Can't see how that might backfire. 3 maps that look great but are pretty uhm... Difficult to play on as killer and then there's the nerfs to scream perks and Leverage.
Might just be me but I can't really comprehend the thinking process behind all this stuff. You had tons of feedback regarding everything about this patch, besides the scream thing, and you somehow decided to ignore it and do whatever. The Red Forest maps look awsome but why are there soooo many safe zones and why is Mother's Dwelling still so laaaaaaarge? That was the biggest issue with this map and it didn't change. Instead it seems like there are way more filler tiles on both maps. Pre dropping is already at an all time high and now it's even worse than before because there are seemingly more pallets on all new maps.
The killer perks were all incredibly weak on the PTB and needed some serious buffs. Yet here we are with Leverage being nerfed. It wasn't good anyway but why would you kill a perk that didn't even have a chance to be useful? Altruistic actions are exactly what killers want. That takes 2 people away from gens. Self-healing is already a problem because it increases survivor efficiency beyond what a killer can realistically achieve. That's partly why the game feels more miserable than before 6.1.0 playing killer without slowdown. Now Leverage is a weak perk (by numbers) that incentivises self-healing. Great. What even was the idea behind that?
We have 4 survivor perks that are quite weak. 1 that is somewhat ok (Cut Loose), I guess. And 1 that is insanely strong. The strength of Blood Rush is one thing. But the fact that it can only be countered by tunneling is a different thing. There are enough complaints about tunneling and many, many, many suggestions for what might work to disinsentivise it. Instead you created a perk that actively tells the killer to tunnel that survivor or else they might get Blood Rush.
Then, we have that thing with scream perks and I honestly don't even know how to get started on that one. You knew, what you were doing there. That is pretty clear with patch notes. But what was the idea behind nerfing perks that were already too weak to be considered an option? That is not how you broaden a meta. That is the exact opposite.
Lastly there is the thing with Eruption vs DH again. Due to "the amount of feedback it was getting" you pushed the Eruption change to happen as soon as possible. Fair enough. But that is hypocrisy if I've ver seen it, when you cannot even share anthing about the most talked about perk in DBD. At least tell us, that you will do something at some point. We don't need to know anything specific yet. It'd enough to say that something will change with DH. Instead we were encouraged to discuss it even more, when it already felt like that wouldn't help either way.
I don't think that patch was made with malicious intent. Not at all. But I cannot comprehend it. I just want to understand. Please tell me, what was the idea? What drove those decisions? Is this patch a meme?

The only thing that I don't like this patch is that they decided to nuke all screaming perks and nerfed that new antihealing perk from SM.
Other than that I like it.

I think they did an amazing job rejoining both extremes of the community back together in their hate towards this chapter.
Not a great job in the engagement department, though. I genuinely don't want to play right now after being gate camped by a Skull Merchant. It's really frustrating knowing that the best move is not to play.

Yes, they spent 3 months creating a meme, for the lols.
In honesty, I'm just waiting for perk reworks. The new killer is neat in concept but just camps and forces survs out of loops in practice.
Also the range needed between drone placements is super restrictive, they can't even be close to overlapping, making the power awkward to use.
Can't we get some tweaks to older killers? So many of them suffer from strange restrictions and cooldowns. It's not like Plague, Legion or Ghostface became OP after they were made better to play, so why leave so many killers in the dust?

That's nice. I'm genuinely happy for you.
I know that this is partially subjective, especially if you like or don't like the killer. I just really want to understand. I want to understand the thought process. Because to me it looks like they consciously made some bad decisions like ignoring feedback when it comes to Mother's Dwelling, Blood Rush and other perks.
