Stridor

Hey,

I just completed a challenge which uses the perk Stridor. I've never used it before and I'm confused why anyone would use it. I noticed no difference in volume, is the perk bugged or is it just that crappy?

It’s just pretty bad, it needs some additional feature or something.

Does it increase the breathing volume and groans of pain on your system?

I used to run Stridor to counter old Iron Will. Then they indirectly nerfed Stridor by buffing Iron Will, and later nerfed Iron Will.

It's kind of just a feel-good perk for listening to survivors breathing on the other side of walls and such. It's not very strong, but I'm quite attatched to it.

As for the bug you are having, it's likely that some survivors are so quiet that Stridor doesn't make them that much louder. Using it against loud survivors like Bill, Jeff, and Ash is VERY noticable.

It does and it is noticeable it just doesn’t matter much.

It’s pretty bad, Spirit players will use it sometimes but that’s about it.

I ran stridor and shadowborne only after 6.1.0 for a couple weeks. I could hear every single Ace from outside of shack, so it definitely does something. I really wanted to take in the ability to hear injured survivors after that patch dropped.
