Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Red Forest is the pinnacle of how not to design a map

The visual "uplift" for this map is the worst thing I think I've ever seen introduced in DBD. It's like the devs looked at the map and thought "hey, maybe we should follow the AAA trend of making pretty graphics but with atrocious level design and inconsistent collisions.

Let's look at the individual things that contribute to making this map trash. First off, the performance on this map is much worse than anywhere else in the game, because of all the extra clutter.

Second, this map has even worse fog than Eyrie. I never thought I'd live to see the day where this was possible but here we are.

Third, why is there clutter ALL OVER THE MAP? I play Blight, and I'll have my rush interrupted by some random stump, or a fallen tree log, or some random bush, or anything in between, that serves no purpose but to scream "look, our map has a lot of things in it".

Speaking of which, why are the collisions so atrocious? I thought I had seen it all with Yamaoka, but this map takes it to a whole new level. Every surface feels like it's covered in butter, and every surface that looks like it should be covered in butter is bumpy as hell. The only thing with even remote collision is the bushes (and you'll find out pretty soon because there's one every 3 feet, and at every pallet).

Just give us back old Red Forest and let's pretend this never happened.
