New Killer Adept rules too punishing

By this I mean, spiteful survivors can easily punish killers to deny the Adept. Or poor game stability that causes a survivor's game to crash can deny the killer's Adept. (I had three matches in a row yesterday with a disconnect. This is not a non-issue.) The killer has no counter to a disconnect. It used to be that if a survivor disconnected, I could farm out a double-pip and still earn the Adept achievement.

Now, if a survivor disconnects, the killer doesn't get the Adept. If a survivor crawls to an unknown corner or a dead zone to force a bleed out, the killer doesn't get the Adept. And the RNG of the hatch also denies the Adept.

A better solution would be that a double pip is a Merciless, and a 4k is an automatic Merciless. There, now there's a possible option for killers so survivors can't outright singlehandedly screw them over by being a poor sport. It'd be nice if disconnects counted as kills, but the answer to that seems to be a definitive "no."

HOWEVER, a disconnect on the hook should count as a kill. I don't understand why that doesn't count as a kill. Bleed outs should really count as kills, too, considering survivors can force that and there's no counter to Boil Over except slugging (you can't equip Iron Grasp if you're going for an Adept).
