Let Killers Chat with Survivors
I'm sure that games would feel significantly less toxic if the Survivors and the Killer could chat with each other through the chat-based system that no one otherwise uses.
Why? Why not let Killers chat with the Survivors? Why not give everyone time to speak and understand each other?
This is just bad design and promotes toxicity among players. In a theoretical scenario, if I had the ability to chat with a Pyramid Head in the pre-game lobby, I'd probably have less of a chance to be told to "commit cessation of life" (I'm not risking an accidental ban here) in the endgame chat than if I hadn't the ability to.
Come on, developers, there is no reason to keep Killers and Survivors segregated from each other in the pre-chat lobby. All you're doing by not having this feature is breeding more toxicity and hate among players and it's just wrong.

I mean, with the points you made, it would be a benefit then. Acting like that in the pregame lobby will just get you dropped till you get a nurse with a bone to pick. On the other side, survivors that are nice in pregame might get a more fair game from the killer, who may not feel as pressured to win as well as the killer popping streamers.
Basically a self solving issue. I propose this actually get tested on a PTB at some point.

Farming is boring and your feature will increase it significantly - "help with achievements/challenges/dailies etc"

How would I be able to inform another survivor freely about my build or item I'm bringing without exposing it to the killer? Also potentially knowing which killer I'll be going against every time would suck the fun out of the game.

People wont do that, they will still play hard and fast, but they might abstain from starts considered unfun, such as hard tunnelling someone out instantly. Rarely you'll get straight up farmers (outside of events which already have those)

You are all unbelievable. I have no hope for this community if THIS is somehow divisive.
You know what, keep your vitriol toward each other in-game. If this somehow is so divisive despite being something that would be a complete, net benefit for the game's health, then you can keep saying horrible things toward each other at the endgame chat, or keep having horrible things hurled at you at endgame.
If you do not see the benefits this would have, then you deserve to keep the toxicity.

One reason is people would make deals with the other side or ask stuff. That's not what Killers are supposed to do.

"Hey survivors, I'm playing on Switch with sub-10fps. If you would like any altruism points, please stand still in front of me and wait for a hit to connect. Otherwise, I will be protecting the Entity's realm from zombies; do not hide in lockers and get birds, it's unfair on your teammates."
If it would get survivors to do gens and not crouch around being useless, I'd love having a pre-chat thing as killer. Plus, some survivors DC in my matches, and then it takes even longer for crap to get done, and that sucks for everyone.
I'm on console, though, so I doubt I'd ever get this even if PC did.

I genuinely believe this would be used for nothing that End Game chat isn't already used for.
Specifically, telling me how much they've done things to my mother.
I don't care because my mother deserves worse, I just want something new once in a while.

It's a cool idea and I'm all for it, even an open mic lobby, but ofc everyone cries about what if this or that or blah blah blah, no one's ever happy nowadays and always sees the worst in everything for some weird reason.
My opinions in regards to toxicity.. EVERY GAME HAS TOXIC PEOPLE, THIS HAS NOT CHANGED SINCE I STARTED GAMING 23 YEARS AGO. Now I'll await the people crying about my post.
