Skull Merchant is just a Myers/Plague trying to do a 3-gen (but worse)
While 3-generators as a strategy is a hot topic as of late,
I feel compelled to make the case that skull merchant is just a lesser myers or plague trying to do a 3-generator strategy. All these killers operate in a similar fashion. Myers saves exposed, plague forces broken/wounded. Both of these killers have a similar capability to track which survivors are on a generator with the correct addons/aspect of their killer power capabilities.
Unlike plague or myers though, skull merchant's exposed is applied to the survivors on their own terms and their own volition (instead of the killer deciding). It really is just worse.

Yeah, while I get why people hate SM so much, I think a lot of other killers can do 3 gen plays just as well as she can, if not worse. People need to realize that 3 gen strats can’t be eliminated very easily without severely ruining the game for killers. They should just rework SM to have more uses in other ways than just 3 gens since the others can play in ways beyond just hardcore guarding a 3 gen.

I would disagree. Myers has little to no tracking unless you sacrifice access to Tier 3 and plagues tracking unless you have her Iri add-on works best at the beginning of a match, as most survivors get broken you loose your ability to track them.
Any killer is strong at 3 gens, Myers and Plague powers are not designed for that strategy, they are a choice by the killer or mistake by the survivors. SM power seems entirely designed with this play style in mind, information and tracking by setting zones and a penalty for survivors that don't waste time dealing with the drones.

I don't disagree that it's worse than a lot of other killer's ability to 3 gen and her being "OP" at it is being way overblown although I think the frustrating part to a lot of people is the fact that she's good at defense without being able to close the deal quickly, you really have to pick your spots when you're going to commit to a chase if you're doing a 3 gen build because you have much fewer tools in chase meaning she can often win if she plans correctly it's just that it takes a lot longer compared to say cannibal where if you mess up you're down instantly and that's that where as SM it's much more death by 1,000 cuts and think that's what is frustrating people.
