Roll back the Red Forest rework

This isn't it. Are these maps being playtested before they release? Killer powers feel awful on the Red Forest rework. Collision is atrocious. I'm constantly bumping into things that aren't on my screen on Wesker and Billy. I can't tell what bushes have collision and what bushes don't because the only difference between them is green and slightly more green. There's way too much random clutter, which makes killer powers feel bad when you factor in the ridiculous collision zones. Main building is somehow stronger than it was before. The size is unchanged.

And it's bad on survivor too. The map walls share the same texture as the tiles, which is extremely disorienting. I've heard from multiple friends, myself included, that it's hard to tell where you are on the map in chase. That should never be a thing.

This brings me to the question: why were development resources devoted to this? The gameplay is objectively worse on both sides post-update. If it was playtested thoroughly, that would be obvious. The balance is unchanged, and in some cases even worse when you factor in the god window in main building. Why make the change at that point? Why are resources being used in this way? I know you aren't setting out to make things worse on purpose, but you don't have to push the change through if it ends up not working out. That's just asinine.

Maps aren't getting better. It's a major feedback point with the community for years, and they're trending in the wrong direction even with the constant feedback about maps. We've complained about Cowshed for years, it went unchanged, and then Cowshed 2.0 released in Shattered Square. I'm convinced maps aren't being playtested thoroughly on the entire killer roster. So many killers have a low pick rate in large part due to how awful they feel on so many maps. Why would anyone ever play Billy when the game throws RPD at you 20% of the time?

Good to know it wasn’t just me getting thrown off by the similarity in appearance between the edge walls and jungle gyms. I ran towards the edge of the map as survivor last night thinking it was a jungle gym only to find out I just brought the killer to a deadzone.

that is not my experience. for me, I feel unstoppable in the loops as survivor. to me, I feel like I could loop the killer for 3 gens every chase if my team is good. how could survivor be complaining about this map? the map is like.... crazy strong. This map might be the best survivor map in the entire game, even better then garden of joy and fracture cowshed. This seems like easy map for me to burn offering on to get auto-pilot wins as survivor.

I do think it will be a very strong survivor map once players get used to it. And the Mother's Dwelling main building is stronger than before because now you can fast vault the downstairs window in both directions that you used to only be able to medium vault from the outside. And it's still a huge map.

Old Temple was mostly fine as it was, but I was really hoping the Mother's Dwelling rework would be better than this and it just isn't. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this point. For every map that's been changed recently, a new bad map has taken its place. Haddonfield got reworked? We got Garden of Joy. RPD got split into two (which it desperately needed)? We got Shattered Square. Eyrie got reworked? Now we have this.

The tile strength is heavily survivor-sided. It's mainly the visual aspect that bugs me on the survivor side. And main building is ridiculous. Painful map to play killer on.

visual seems fine for me. the map is not worse for both sides. its worse for killer side. stronger for survivor. this is like 2017 dbd. God window loops? big maps, lots of pallet resources. Just like old times. nostalgia. Some things never change.
