My 2 cents on the current status of DBD

Hi there :)

After several months of not playing DBD, it is good to see that some of the iconic forum residents and mods are still around, although I'm missing a few others.

Ok, my first impressions:

1. The SM is a lot of fun for me personally and is better than I expected. She performs particularly well on indoor maps and causes a few jump scares. She will definitely be part of my killer roster.

2. Balancing is in a good spot. However, some maps are still very survivor sided due to terrible structures and too many palettes. Say, map design and RNG is still a thing.

3. Toxicity in the DBD Comm is not as bad as I always thought. I've been playing a PVE/ PVP game for the last few months, in which racism, sexism and homophobia were almost de rigueur Oo

4. Hackers still exist, but I've only had two cases of scams in the last two weeks. I hope it stays that way.

5.The new bots are just great and give me a lot of joy. I can finally look at the maps in peace and try out crazy things with the bots. However, I want my Sky Billy back :(

6. Unfortunately, the mentality of the forums hasn't changed that much. The reviews here are still very one-sided. Rarely is anything praised, most of the time people just cry and complain. That's a pity. Camping and tunneling is still a thing (surprise!). But we'd rather whine about 3 gens tactics and the new DH. Oh, and UsVsThem shouldn't be missing either.

7. SBMM works for me much better than before. I get more teammates who know how to press m1 and hit skill checks. I hope it stays that way :D

What are your thoughts?
