Facecamping Bubba needs to be stopped.
That's all there is to it. Facecamping is a wibbly-wobbly topic but Bubba doing it is clear as day. It's too powerful on him.
Nerf.

And how would you propose to nerf that?

Honestly its bubba. Just let him have that one thing. He struggles enough being memed on all game. Let him get his little kick in.
I say this as a turbo biased survivor main who really loves playing against bubba.

Face camping Bubba is meta, so is basement Bubba.

I don't disagree, but the question is, how? It's not a problem with a clear and easy fix, anything simple people present is pretty easily abused by aware survivors or would otherwise just cause problems for regular play - EG, disabling his chainsaw near hooked survivors.
1 -
I can't take what you said seriously. So many Bubbas resort to facecamping tactics that it feels like a wasted game when it happens. It's annoying.
3 -
And how would you propose to nerf that without changing the game experience for us who play Bubba but dont facecamp?
The problem with most anti-face camp features that people on these forums keep cooking up is that if a Survivor decides to loop around a hooked Survivor. It all falls apart.

Facecamping Bubba is not a problem with Bubba himself. Problem is with mentally-challenged players that play this way, you cannot ban them, it's not appropriate and correct. It is very frustrating when you're on some challenge/achievement, but life is life.
You reminded me of something I wanted to ask long time ago...

I still don't understand what is wrong with 1 survivor run around hooked survivor. It's at least 2 don't do gens, it's like ideal scenario to me. I couldn't count how many strong teams fell apart doing this (only yesterday SWF with flashlights and Reassurance fell apart to Merchant on Cowshed for the very same reason)

Let bubba just have his moment 2-3 of you should still escape so it's balanced.
0 -
cause it intersects with any system to prevent facecamping.
1 -
Chainsaw should be disabled within x meters around the hook. Hook grabs should be removed. There we go. Now, will BHVR implement these changes?

You got me lost here...

You have to read a lot of Suggestions regarding this topic to follow along.
But the jist is loads of suggestions in the past are bad cause they intersect with normal gameplay, so you cant do much and it just ends up getting in the Killers way. You might say you are okay with power prevention mini rules if they get in the way of someone Face Camping. But I dont cause I play Killer and sometimes when we play around a hooked survivor. I think that is fair, I believe the Killer should have control of their power to punish that kind of play.

Let me get this straight beforehand: I'm genuinely interested in this and not trying to push my survivor/killer agenda or attack somebody. I literally don't understand. Because when I just ask questions or make suggestions, people start to get angry and go full toxic mode.
First of all, if we remove something situational and destroy this way a huge chunk of unhealthy gameplay that lead to frustration of so many people (survivors hate this for obvious reasons, killers drown in negativity and insults, etc etc). I think it is a fair trade.
For example, adding 5 seconds unhook protection basekit was also inconvinient (telling you as a Hag player), but we still living with it and managed to play still and no one died (figuratively speaking).
Second thing. In my whole experience I don't remember a single time when it could punish me. If someone running near hook, I'll chase him, I would chase someone anyway, in this scenario I don't even have to search for the next victim. And the hooked one is completely useless. I don't remember many times when my survivors in my killer-games proceed through hook stages (few times when they got one-two complete potato clueless survivors).

I disagree here, I don't face camp and I don't like to have my situational situations go to the Survivors because someone else camps.
How is that a fair trade to me? It isnt.

Be careful about that sorta thinking, just because it isnt a problem to you does not mean its fair to everyone.

Yeah, Leatherface needs the same restrictions other killers have. Artist for example can't use her power around the hook and neither can skull merchant or twins. Leatherface and hag are remnants from an old time and need restrictions like new killers when it comes to preventing them from camping with their power

like no triangle man lasagna near hooks gens or exit gates

I have to be honest, with how often I see survivors being toxic pricks, I don't feel bad about it.
Might start doing it myself if it wasn't so boring.

Example: everyone (literally) compain about outdated factory that pollutes rivers and forests, and people suffocating from smog, but you are for keeping it because sometimes you may need a cheap plaster. And what means "to the Survivors". Aint you a survivor sometimes? Because that's very convenient to play only a fun role. But that is very selfish to think that 4 people should suffer because of one's entertainment. I think everyone could cope with losing some cheap cheesy tactics to the benefit of the game in general.
Be careful about that sorta thinking, just because it isnt a problem to you does not mean its fair to everyone. It would be far more fair to remove cheap exploit so "everyone" wouldn't end up on high MMR where they don't belong (because they used an exploit) and get completely steamrolled by skilled survivors, what only give birth to more annoyance and anger.
In short, killers survived basekit BT, survivors survived nerfed DH, everyone could survive absence of facecamping (There would be crying from bad killers and the beginning, but when didn't that happen, right?), and it improve health of the game drastically.
Personally, playing a survivor is something like go naked through blackthorn thicket, everytime super frustrating and painful. You should try it for once to see other point of view. Playing killer is always fun, I get that. But we need other side too.

Never. My favorite thing in this game is to get facecamped by Bubba. It's the funniest thing ever to me lmao

No please I love being chased by Bubba not knowing what will happen if I go down..it's exciting! It would take away any respect I have for Bubba. And I like watching Bubba from hook I can see the fun part of it. Others just wants to loop and do gens and nothing more same and same..I like the break it's a bit of a holiday. Bubba should always be Bubba.

I'm sorry, are we comparing people complaining having a bad time in a video game to environmental pollution?
Really?
Is that seriously how far we as a species have fallen?
2 -
We have fallen really far if we can't give up something situational for the sake and health of the whole game. That was the point. Please, try to read it from beginning.
It's not "bad time". It's literally uncounterable thing in the game that a) deny everyone from playing the game (holding M1, hanging on the hook and sniffing hanged survivor's crotch is not playing), b) completely unfun, detrimental for improvement (on both sides) and c) sparks so much anger and hatred which benefits to the game are questionable at best.
So yes, how far have we fallen?

everyone (literally) complain about outdated factory that pollutes rivers and forests, and people suffocating from smog, but you are for keeping it because sometimes you may need a cheap plaster.
Sure ill play a hypothetical.
Yeah, lets not disrupt our only supply of plaster. We need to make sure needs are taking care of before we destroy the only source of it. I also want to say idk how this smoking polluting factory came to be the only supply.
This game isnt a charity.
Its called giving a hypothetical, its not a comparison. Its an examination of the following the logic of a person's mind.
We are just examining the idea.

It's not only supply of plaster. It is supply of cheap plaster for now and then without effort. Until it can be. When it is depleted, you are broke, because you only know how to get cheap plaster.
And yes, the game is not charity, that's why it shouldn't be enjoyable for only one side. Because, unlike with cities and factories, you cannot force people to take it as a job. They will leave to other games (like 4 of my friends did), which I doubt is good thing for current game.
We came from "what's wrong running around the hook" to "why 4 people should entertain one for free if it is not their job? It is not charity." Now I have two questions.

Lmao I'll never understand why people make these posts. If you make it impossible to camp with Bubba then it's going to make him a lot less fun to play as.
Same thing with Michael Myer's add-ons. People complain about his Tombstone add-ons but if you nerf his add-ons then Michael Myers will just become a really unfun M1 killer with a really slow early game.
Stop trying to ruin meme killers and let people have fun with the killers they paid for.
1 -
I can't believe I have to explain this, but people being affected by their drinking water being polluted is not the same as "I don't like this thing in this video game".
So stop making the comparison!
0 -
Remove his chainsaw charges if he camps. Done. Move on to the next killer.
1 -
I can't belive I have to explain this, but it was never a comparison but a grotesque example of clinging to small situational benefits whilst having global and severe peoblems. The only one who made a comparison is you, probably to turn on SJW mode and distract from the gist of my message.
So stop using cheap demagogic trick to swerve attention from the point of comment!

I just wish people did gens, instead of mindlessly orbiting the camped hook trying to get an impossible save.
1 -
How is camping from the killer POV fun? You're doing nothing.
1 -
Ok but bubba camp = funny
1 -
You’ve never insidious camped with any killer and gotten jumpscares and free downs? You’re definitely missing out.
Even when I’m not using insidious/undetectable, it’s hilarious to watch survivors just scramble to try to save their teammate. It’s good mean-spirited fun.

My brother in christ.
You are the one that made the comparison.
Whether you want to admit to it or not.
Pointing out you made a comparison is the same as saying the grass is green, or the sky is blue.
Saying I made a comparison before this post is at best an innocent mistake and is at worst a straight up lie.
Nobody is going to mutate a 3rd leg because you were camped at 5 gens by the scary chainsaw man!
1 -
How about this: Chainsaw Sweep causes a tantrum if used on a player during unhook animation.
That way, you can always trade against Bubba, and you can't chase down and double hit the unhooked survivor through BT.
0 -
Just deactivate his power when he's in a certain distance from the hook and activate it again 5 seconds after he's in a chase so people can save the hooked one and not abusive by looping near the hook
