New updates and perk nerfs
I was reading through the PTB developer update and going through all of the changes that are being implemented and I gotta say I'm not too thrilled about the changes.
I've said before that I think Behaviore is trying to push the game to be more objective focused and gen focused since the meta has gradually become more about gen rushing on the survivor side and slow down perks from the killer side. It's been a rough time embracing that fact for a lot of people since most people just wanna do loops, but that's the game now.
As for how Behavior is changing the meta with this new update, it feels a bit misguided in regards to the response to community feedback.
Killer man's got a nerf to every single major gen slow down perk currently being used in the meta. First thoughts are okay we are gonna see some shifting back away from gen rush/slow down hopefully!
Then I look at the changes made for the survivors side and its just all...chase based...again. Now survivors will have a harder time healing and a harder time interacting with some of the already strongest killers with the flashlight...why? I'm assuming to hurt bully squads?
So killers got some heavy nerfs on the gen slow down side, and survivors got some nerfs to healing and flashlights...so there's even more reason for gen rush to become the meta again...right after nerfing all of the major gen slow down perks.
OH and the dead hard change. I'll be interested to see how it plays out but again, if your gonna change chase perks and survivability, survivors are just gonna gen rush. What even is the point anymore of committing to chase? I guess we will have to see what happens in the PTB. Good luck out there. Let me know your thoughts...
