Are the devs trying to make every map like Fractured Cowshed or something?
I recently played a match in the reworked Mother's Dwelling, and I noticed there were more safe loops than before. And by that I mean loops there are long and safe from both sides, leaving little to no room for mindgames, where the only option is often to just run it until the pallet is dropped and break it, free extra time for the survivor. To make things worse, these loops were quite well connected too.
The biggest problem is this isn't the only recent map with that kind of issue. All the three latest newly added maps have stuff that were slowly removed from older maps through the years.
Old Eyrie of Crows was cursed. Than it got reworked and got some stuff made better, like the map's size and shape, but the interconected loops are still insanely bad. There are safe loops insanely close to one another and perfectly aligned too. It feels like playing on the old double pallet loops.
Garden of Joy... oh my. It's pallet loop into jungle gym window, followed by another pallet loop aligned with another jungle gym. This map is hell, it even has a main building with a god-window (remember when doors were put next to most safe windows back in 2020? This window seems like something from before that change) connected to both a jungle gym and a god-pallet.
Then there's the shattered square. Multiple interconnected pallet loops, including those extremely safe houses in the corners, which also have good enough visibility to make mindgaming them impossible. Not to mention OTHER problems that map has.
Considering how back in 2021 Gideon Meat Plant was reworked to have more safe pallets than ever (even though it isn't half as survivor-friendly as these other maps), Cowshed became even worse than how it was pre-rework and other coldwind maps got those new hay pile tiles that are completely safe, honestly, it feels like the devs are trying to make mindgames less and less impactful with the map changes. It's hard to expect the next ones to be good when this is happening.

We just need better map designers. Survivor is honestly getting boring because of how easy some of these maps are to loop on.
