Noise Notification Visual Indicators For Killer (And Other Accessibility Options)

For Killer, whenever you receive a noise notification, there is an auditory and visual indicator. Normally, players will hear the auditory indicator, and then look around for the visual indicator. But for those who are deaf or having hearing impairments, this is not so simple, since the auditory indicator is completely out of the picture for them.

I think it would be nice if there was some option for Killers to have an on-screen effect for the auditory indicator, this could be the borders of the screen being changed a certain color when an auditory indicator is active, or some overlayed visual effect. This will allow Killers with auditory impairments to properly make use of the noise notification information. This is applicable to scream notifications as well.

Additional ideas:

  • For those who have audio impairments which can cause ringing or sharp pains in their ears, Chase Music (for Killer and Survivor) should have a volume slider separate from other audio sliders. Audio sliders for powers should also be provided, since certain SFX such as triggering Freddy's Dream Snares can cause issues for some players.
  • Scratchmarks should have a setting to change the intensity at which they glow. For some players, they glow too brightly and can strain their eyes, for other players, it is too dull and blends in with other colors (colorblind settings sometimes dont help with this on certain maps). Being able to change the intensity that they glow without the usage of perks will help those with visual impairments.
  • Killer FOV Slider should help those with motion sickness or eye strain, this is overall just a good quality of life change since it benefits every single player who prefers to change FOV. Using Shadowborn or Monitor and Abuse to change FOVs is incredibly outdated and long overdue for a change to begin with.
