Stealth Perk Changes

I like killer stealth perks. I think some of them could receive some buffs or changes, so I'll list them here:

Insidious

  • When the killer is standing still, their TR will begin to decrease to 0m. The killer will become fully undetectable after 2 seconds
  • The status effect lingers for 2/4/6 seconds after moving or using a killer's power, and the TR will reappear afterwards

Fun fact, I mentioned this idea months ago in one of my perk change discussion posts. Recently, Skull Merchant came out and her drones allow her to have a similar effect. Therefore, I imagine a change like this could be made for Insidious and make it more useful specifically in loop chases or surprising survivors that are walking by or around corners.

Furtive Chase

  • Whenever the obsession is hooked, a token is gained up to a maximum of 4/5/6 tokens
  • Each token reduces the TR by 4m when not in chase. The red stain is normal when not in chase
  • Each token reduces the red stain length by 12% when in chase. The TR is normal when in chase
  • When a survivor unhooks the obsession, the rescuer becomes the new obsession

I like the idea of a perk having an alternating effect depending on the chase state of the killer. My reasoning for this change is that I do not feel that that the range of the TR matters much when in chase. Arguably, it matters most when out of chase because it helps the killer sneak up on survivors. What does matter in chase is the length of the red stain, and therefore I believe this change would be impactful and beneficial for the killer.

Beast of Prey

  • After breaking a wall or pallet, gain the undetectable status effect for 10/15/20 seconds

Beast of Prey currently relies on bloodlust, which makes it very situational and ineffective if the killer loses chase. Therefore, I decided that it would be best if it applied when the killer breaks a pallet or wall instead. Additionally, I changed the effect to undetectable instead of only hiding the red stain. However, this could just as easily only remove the red stain with the new change of how it is applied.

Shadowborn

  • Begin the trial with the undetectable status effect
  • Effect lasts for 60/90/120 seconds (maybe the effect would immediately end when a survivor is downed too - maybe not)

This perk isn't originally a stealth perk, but I decided to make it one. Given its name, I always thought this perk would be more fitting if it spawned the killer with the undetectable effect. I'd imagine this would be nice on setup killers like Trapper, but I could see it being useful for other killers as well. Obviously, this change would entail that an FoV slider would be added along with it for accessibility.

    Neat changes. All of those perks right now aren't really used much or very useful in my opinion. The ideas seem like they will allow them to be used better on their own and give more situations that they could be used in so that's cool.
