Does anything feel remotely pay to win?

This is just loosely speaking, obviously there are lots of caveats.... So whether it's perks or killers, is there anything that you feel greatly increases your chance of general success (winning, looping, whatever etc) that you have to either spend real money (to purchase the DLC) to get them, or hope you have enough shards saved up?

Like a lot of the perks I see being used are from new survivors, or popular used killers have to be unlocked. So either the new stuff is just too good, or the old stuff is still too bad...

Technically, lot of new perks gonna be nerf in a near futur

When a new survivor or new killer come in the game, with new perks, at first glance, sometimes, you can see the real power of these, but not for the other, but... With times, somes peoples gonna see a probability to make some perks stronger with another (like, merciless storm and the doc, or dead man switch with pain res)

Some perks are very good with a playstyles (for survivor or killer) and the other are really good with one or two killer (thana and legion/plague)

So you can never know, at first, if a perks can be really good or really bad, it's how player use them and how player combine them who make a perks, a good or bad one

And then, you have autodidacte ( :P )

While both are irrelevant now the gen kick meta was basically excluded to licensed chapters with Call of brine and eruption being the main 2 perks

DS being the sole anti tunnel perk for awhile and the sole reason many survivors bought the Halloween chapter

Perks not being freely available* by its very nature makes it P2W. *(Unlockable that is, I don't mind waiting for RNG bloodweb to get the perk) When new Survivor and Killer perks come out, they should be in everyone's bloodweb from the start, or at most after the midchapter patch if they wanted an exclusivity window. Prestiging them to get the perk on all Survs/Killers is enough incentive to get the characters. Plus the design should be interesting enough that someone will want them for their cosmetics for Surv, or gameplay style for Killer.

Also there is the problem of core design flaws needing a perk band-aid to fix such as DS/OTR for tunneling, Reassurance for camping, etc. If you couldn't get innumerable free wins through facecamping, then I would be less willing to say P2W exists.

So you are spending money and gaining an advantage compared to not spending money. You can view that as pay to win since paying money can result in you winning more. I really don't care or classify that as pay to win as I view pay to win as needing to spend an unreasonable amount of money for that situation. Spending $5 for a killer that has perks that help me win is different in needing to spend 500. If I spend 1k on dbd and you spend 30 am I stronger than you if we both have the same skill? The answer to that is no. However If I spend 0 and you spend 30 the answer is yes.
