No, thats simply how autodidact works and has been working for a long time.

And then a survivor heals like 6 seconds faster than normal after killing two teammates by resetting their heal progress and Autodidact gets nerfed to crap because 'wow, that's so broken!'.

If you really have a problem with autodidact you can simply commit to a chase without leaving someone injured, you can equip nurses calling and see who's healing who and where exactly, you can equip sloppy butcher to interrupt someone healing someone else and reset the heal progress entirely.
Getting stacks of autodidact is really difficult in solo. You have to ignore gens and go for every unhook to gain stacks but what if the killer comes right back? Now you have no stacks and have to do it all over again. The time you spend gaining stacks is a lot. You could do 2 gens in the meantime

This video reminds me of that clip of a survivor doing a quick gen with 27 stacks of Fast Track... and all teammates dead.
