MMR

Can a Dev help me out and confirm something about mmr to me. For killers, if you get one kill does that raise your mmr at all? Even a little? Or do you have to get a 3 or 4 kill for your MMr to raise?

    My understanding is that how much or little your MMR changes from a Kill or Escape depends on your MMR relative to your opponent(s). If you're a low-MMR survivor who dies to a high-MMR killer, you won't lose much and that won't gain much. Vice-versa, if a low-MMR Killer beats a high-MMR survivor, the killer will set a bigger than normal increase and the survivor a bigger than normal decrease.

    Suggesting you are paired with/against people of the same MMR level:

    • 0-1 Kills => MMR loss (Loss)
    • 2 Kills => MMR does not change (Tie)
    • 3-4 Kills => MMR gain (Win)

    There are other external factors that contribute to MMR gain/loss, such as the duration of the match.

    If the person you killed was a higher MMR than you, then yeah it should increase your rating. If the person was a lower MMR than you, then unlikely because the game expects the higher MMR person to beat the 'weaker' opponent

    It is looked at as

    1v1 : 1v1 : 1v1 : 1v1

    So a survivor will gain MMR (ONLY if they escape through a door, hatch escapes do not raise MMR) if the killer's MMR is higher than theirs, while the killer will lose MMR.

    Claudette: 1100 MMR Meg: 1400 MMR Dwight: 1600 MMR Jake: 1100 MMR Trapper: 1400 MMR

    All survivors Die = Trapper's MMR increases solely for killing Dwight

    Only Dwight Dies = Trapper's MMR increases

    All escape = Dwight's MMR stays the same, Claudette and Jake increase in MMR, Meg stays the same, Trapper decreases.

    That is how I understand the function of the MMR system.. but I do not think the MMR system is functionally working for matchmaking anyways...

    I would think im low mmr survivor given that I die much more than escape. My escape rate is probably around 30% in soloQ. But still keep facing same high mmr P100 blight who plays to slug everyone as quickly as possible. For strange reason I also get worst teammates agains't him.
