Hooks or Slugging

Before stacking in multiple factors and various loadouts, which one plays more efficiently at occupying the survivors time?

Which one allows for more chases?

Which has the strongest drawbacks?

Which is more consistent regardless of the map?

Which creates more time sensitive situations throughout a match?

Slugging is better short term and hooking long. The problem with just slugging is you take forever to remove players from the game/ create pressure on them because they are on death hook.

Also highly dependent on killer. Slugging on Oni leads to fast snowballing, slugging on Trapper does almost nothing

Depends on the situation. Not a true blanket answer. Hooks generate pressure but also effectively take the killer out of the game for the carry duration. Sometimes it's better to slug when someone else is already on the hook. Abd the hook states on each player also have to be considered. Not all hooks are created equal.

Pressure can be ambiguous. Hook positioning and states, gen progress, etc, all factor into it.
