Keybindings against Artist
So this is something I have witnessed quite a few times when I play Artist. Sometimes swarmed survivors will vault a window or pallet mistakenly. I’m guessing that controller players suffer from this considering repelling and vaulting is the same keybind, so when they try to repel they end up vaulting instead. I think the same thing happens with Pinhead and his chains but I don’t play him enough to know.
I really feel bad for controller survivors that deal with this, because it is very unfulfilling for me and them. I don’t deserve a hit when that happens. Hopefully the devs can do something to fix this.

Or the good old skillcheck at the ending of a heal, that make you jump into a locker or drop the pallet.

The odds of BHVR giving us proper controller settings is slim, unfortunately

Slim is being generous imo.

Mending instead of opening a 99'd gate is fun as well.

At the very least BHVR should change it so default the action and interaction buttons aren't the same. Unfortunately not only do players get used to using the same button for all actions and interactions, if they go to change it the options menu doesn't clarify what is an action and what is an interaction.

There is also still the bug that completely prevents you from repelling crows other than using lockers when you have rebound the button to another ✨

Isn't this also the case with picking up Survivors next to windows? Because you have to be looking at them which makes you vulnarable to flashlight saves but you can't look away because otherwise you will vault the window instead.

This is still an issue with breaking Pinhead's chains as well iirc
Console controls are kinda poopass tbh

Most of the time that isn’t really game breaking though. Only time it can be is if the window leads to a big drop.

Seriously though. We have lots of unused buttons. You'd think they could fix this by now.

If killers can get a separate keybind for picking up survivors, then I'd be cool with survivors getting an extra keybind.
Both or nothing though. If people don't think killers should get an extra keybind, then survivors can just deal with what keybind issues they might have.

Yea... controllers do suck
But it's on BHVR to make separate inputs... so we wait (and have been waiting)

Yeah I've seen it happen quite a lot. Survivor will get swarmed while dropping a pallet, and slow vault the pallet into me. Always funny when it happens but I can sympathize. Another aggravating thing is when you're going for a window vault and you get vacuumed into a locker vault.

My favorite is when I have a good lead on a killer to vault the window from inside, but I stop to do the gen instead and give them a free hit. 😑
Bonus points if I’m already injured. 🥳

Same happens with pinhead pretty consistently. I don’t know why they don’t use more buttons on controller when they are available

Controls is a hugely outdated and obsolete interface in general in DbD, which for some reason devs completely neglected for so long, but it is hardly difficult task.
You can't bind multiple buttons on same action (I had to edit .ini file manually)
You can't set any sensitivity you like (my mouse sensitivity is lower than available in UI, so again I had to edit .ini file)
You can't separate certain actions (pick up/vault, enter locker/vault, etc).
You can't disable "helpers" like auto-pull.
