Easy Anticheat launch error causing bsod

For the past week(early 30th of march this started happening) I haven't been able to enter dead by daylight as any launch error from the easy anticheat launcher causes a bsod: Kernel_security_check failure.

I've done a bunch of memory checks and those come clean. unistalling and reinstalling the game on steam or epic hasn't fixed the issue either.

I've also tried unistalling and reinstalling easy anti cheat itself, no dice. My pc is about 6/7 years old;

spec wise

Processor   Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5500U CPU @ 2.40GHz  2.40 GHz

Installed RAM   8,00 GB

As I am still able to play other games that don't use easy anti cheat to launch with no issue, I've come to assume its easy anti cheat but don't know how to fix the issu
