Bring back spine chill's old effect with a new perk please

We recently got "cut loose" to make fast vaults silent, and I haven't seen anyone use it other than to get the adept achievement. I don't think it's a bad perk per say and I believe it has its place amongst some builds, specifically speed vault builds. Unfortunaly, those don't really exist anymore since Spine Chill's rework.

I absolutely understand that vault speed didn't "fit the theme of the perk" however it made me think we would get a new perk which affects vault speed, and we still don't have it despite having gotten an other vault-related perk.

Please devs add a perk that "increases vault speed by 2/4/6%" like old spine chill used to do in a future chapter, thanks. (It'll also save you the trouble of coming up with a complicated perk with conditions and whatever else you're adding these days because there's too much perks and you're just giving us the things we already have in different forms)

I've said for a while that Better Than New should feature a separate modifier for vault speed. As that perk is right now, it offers speed boosts to anything except generator repair- and except chase. If someone gets chased after being healed with BTN, it'd be nice if they got something for it, and increased vault speed until they're injured seems like it'd be a good fit.

As a bonus, it couldn't stack with Resilience, so you don't have to worry about it stacking to crazy speeds. All around a win, even if it requires a little teamwork.

Yes you're right that'd be great! I feel like BHVR keeps missing opportunities to add this effect back, even though no one complained about it being op when it was still a thing.

Vault speed builds are yawn. Even Resi is very strong and common nowadays. We don't need more chase oriented perks for survivors. Maps are already too safe without survivors being able to turn any unsafe pallet into a safe vault.

Having a build that sometimes make an unsafe pallet safe (and you have to be pretty good of a survivor to actually pull it of) is not much of a problem considering the killer can just break the pallet

Of course feel free to think vault speed builds are boring, but I disagree about not needing more chase perks for survivors (I don't mean stackable ones of course), i'd rather have a variety of chase builds to play or to go against, even if there's some I find boring, over going against the same 3 builds over and over again (which also end up feeling boring anyway).

How do you have to be a good survivor to do that? You just vault the pallet.

Vault speed is something that I think should never be touched (outside of Resilience). You can gain tons of value for doing nothing.

Unlike exhaustion perks which require timing or a specific situation to activate, vault speed builds don't require anything and are simply just "vault this window that you would've had to vault anyway but now you're safe". There's no mind game, no timing, no requirement, it's just "vault and gain value".

I personnaly feel like I'm doing more when I make an effort to time my vaults to turn an otherwise unsafe pallet safe enough than when I vault a window and lithe away, but I mean to each their own, I'm not going to argue over playstyles preferences haha.
