    Ghostface used in the game of from the costume company, not based on the movies scream. Would be cool though but won't happen

    Can’t say. The characters are owned by a different party that’s why we got Ghostface (the costume) with a dude in it that got nothing to do with the Scream-Franchise.

    chances are BHVR actually tried to get the full license but didn’t succeed/wasn’t in their budget and so they settled for just Ghostface. But.. hard to tell what actually happened..

    I have to imagine that the Scream license is massively over-priced and it's pretty protected by the rights holder. Like looking at the stuff that is in the franchise it pretty much seems to steer clear of doing a lot of off-screen licensing.

    BHVR doesnt have the rights to use characters from the Scream movies/universe. The have a license to use the mask from Funworld ( I think thats the name of the company). That's why good ol' Danny has his own lore, original cosmetics, tome, etc.
