Hex totems should be blocked for 60 seconds when match starts
Entity should block hex totems for 60 seconds at the start of a game. Totem spawn spots are not good - often hex totems last less than 30 seconds. Having them blocked would grant killer some benefit from hex perk effects. Right now taking hex perk often equals playing with 3 perks.

No. Hex totem should be lit only if their effect is in use.
I mean, if there is no regressing gen, then ruin totem should not be burning. If noone was hooked yet, the lullaby should not be burning, etc.

Hex perks felt meh when I started playing the game in summer 2021, when Mikaela came out they become awful.
I agree with you but it really doesn't matter, nothing is worth running outside of devour and maybe blood favor.

No. what needs to happen is bHVR to make a look at totem spawn.
- See if there needs to be more totems in play.
- See if totems can be hid better.

This would require too much work.
If totems would be lit only when active then survs would either clense them paranoically or look for them when their effect is active.
Stronger hexes are burning consistently since their effect is in play, and some (like ruin) has other disadvantages.
This change would be simple and fair

ofc it would require work, but its a game that bHVR's map team needs to stay on top off
applying a shield to totems, would just slowly erode the map teams attention to these things cause there would be no need to bother to hide them.

Main issue is they are worse than two years ago at hiding totem.
Hey I have key object I need to hide, let's put it in middle of nothing next to some random tree...
That new autohaven has so bad totem spawns I wanted to cleanse them myself...

I think rather than blocking, they should be invisible to survivors for the first 30 seconds.
60 is a little too long and blocking doesn’t actually prevent a survivor from loading in and immediately finding a hex totem in plain sight, it just delays it being cleansed a little bit. Making them unable to be seen at the start prevents spawn RNG from playing nearly as much of a factor.
Their small crackling noise should also be removed.

I mean, totems often spawn next to or very close to gens. I have very little faith in BHVR willing to fix this. In 2 minutes you would get survs crying that they can't find totems anymore (like Small Game doesn't exist).
