Will the Legion comics be canon?

Im currently thinking about pre-ordering the Legion comics which are coming on May 24th and am really excited for. I, myself main Susie and obviously want to know all about her backstory and origins about how the Legion got put together.

Here's the catch though: Will The comics even be canon to the current DBD Universe we are playing in?

Or will it be entierly be a spin-off just like Hooked on you, since that was also made by another publisher and person?

Whilst i wouldn't hate or not buy the comics if they weren't canon, the issue that i would have with it would be that it's obviously not really explaining those characters in a canon way. Let's say for example in the comics, Susie is akward, shy, strange but also really smart and kind. Yet since this isn't cannocally made, this would obviously mean that, that's just a thought of how Susie really acts and what she likes or dislikes.

Meaning that yet again, the "Real Susie" in DBD, could be completely diffrent and the one in the comics, is a completely diffrent Identity.

I don't know if this is easy to understand, problably not, but you don't need to jump into it if you don't want to.

    Hard to say if the comics will take place in the same universe as the Legion that's playable in the game, only bhvr has the power to say yes or no to that.

    With that said however, If we consider the game's own lore and the different concepts used in it such as

    • The multiverse.
    • How Fictions & Characters that already existed will inspire new versions of those same Fictions & Characters to come into existence and that those new versions will inspire more versions of those fictions & characters, etc.
    • How artists in general are capable of seeing into different worlds & realms, with some being able to utilize it more or better than others.
    • Dejavuism.
    • How something is fictional in one world is reality in another and vice versa.

    So yes, you can consider the comics as canon to dbd's overall universe.
