wiggling out is near impossible.

it is so hard to wiggle out as a survivor without added perks. the wiggle used to be so good, but now that they nerfed it... its terrible.

you could be directly under a broken hook, get picked up, taken to another hook and hooked before your wiggle progression reaches half way.

the only way to wiggle out is using flipflop, and it sucks.

Wiggle wasn't nerfed. It was just put into a new mechanic so people wouldn't break their keyboards or controllers trying to wiggle out of the killers grasp.

Wiggling out isn't even suppose to be all that common to begin with and the killer making it to another hook is just map design. There's more hooks so survivors can't as easily abuse breaking them. Also going down and being hooked only happens because you yourself got down and hooked. Maybe be bring better chase perks instead?

I'm not sure why they changed the wiggle skill checks from a perfect 16s->15s hitting every great. Especially since the new greats are unnoticeable (on both ends). To be fair, I haven't tried using Boil Over after the Skill check change. As Killer though, even Boil Over feels underwhelming other than the drop bonus progression. I think they should revert the wiggle greats to give bonus wiggle progress back to the perfect 15s instead. It felt useful enough without preventing normal hooks in the majority of cases. I don't even want to wiggle now other than for the (pathetically small) Survival BP.

the wiggle was changed from 16<15 when hitting great skillchecks.

i get that wiggling out isnt meant to be easy, but it literally NEVER happens. theres a 1 in 100 chance you wiggle out without perks.

going down isnt something that can be easily avoided by "bringing better chase perks"

hooks are so close that i can literally see another hook perfectly clear from where im hooked. in what world is that fair??

killer is the easier side yet anything that benefits survivors gets nerfed. DH, COH, the wiggle skillchecks, and literally anything else thats been nerfed. killers have such OP perks that never get nerfed like Eruption. its hard to be a survivor, and sure its meant to be like that, but killers just complain abt perks like DH when its really the only good thing survivors have. its such a low chance for a survivor to wiggle out without help, yet survivors are the only people these nerfs are affecting.

It was. They removed the skillcheck bonus in favor of making hitting them give the wiggle "more strength" in strafing side to side

wiggling out is only a thing so that people dont get basemented from halfway across the galaxy

you arent meant to wiggle out consistently

While I agree that killer should get hooked EVERY time in cases OP said (without any help from perks or other survivors), it's also true that some maps (especially saloon, but there are also other maps that break supposed minimal hook distance) have hooks WAY too close together - making it impossible to pull of sabotage plays even if played perfectly.

Like in saloon - if survivor does not get down next to any hook, killer picks up and decides to go to one of several hooks in his vicinity and picks hook that the other survivor is sabotaging - that other survivor sabotages it in such a sneaky way, that killer actually comes under said hook - killer then even injures sabotaging survivor - I think in this case killer should not be able to carry his survivor to another hook. But this is consistently possible in saloon (meaning survivor needs to be downed away from hooks AND his teammates need to sabotage 2 hooks that killer picked (or 1 hook and take multiple hits) to actually help wiggle him free).

did u literally not read what i said? i said I KNOW its not meant to happen often, but you literally never do it. i literally play hundreds of games and i havent wiggled out in MONTHS. even WITH perks. the hooks are way too close even if a teammate tries to help.

on a map like dead dawg, even if your teammate sabos a hook, theres another one right beside it. unless they take hits AND sabo TWO hooks, theres really no chance. in what world is that fair?...

nevermind the fact killers have perks that help them too. iron grasp, mad grit, whatever whatever.

i know wiggling out isnt meant to be easy, but get real. its a 1 in 100 chance you do, and thats with help. even just expanding the hook distance would help survivors a ton. even if a survivor does wiggle out, they arent gonna make it all that far. mainly if they arent near a long loop.

so you want to just escape a hook state for free?

imagine playing killer. you just simply cannot make it to a hook so you lose a hook state and are forced to either slug or have them wiggle off

isnt that fun and rewarding gameplay? going through a chase, first hit, second hit, having a successful pickup (because saves can happen), and then you just cant get a hook

wow how fun. your vision of the game surely wont make the killer pool less than 1% of the playerbase
