Changing Adept Requirements

For multiple nights I have been trying to get the Oni Adept, which with the new "4k" requirement is turning out to be HARDER than the previous double pip. 4 matches in a row someone on death hook has DC'd knowing that I am going for Oni's adept due to the use of both Nemesis and Blood Echo - both generally underused/niche perks with no synergy between them. By DCing, the survivors are able to circumvent a killers' ability to get the achievement despite losing. DCing already rewards killers with the hook states of survivors, so can we please change the requirement to 12 hooks instead of the 4K?

I think DC's should count as deaths for Adept purposes. This way, a salty surv could not "cancel" your adept by DCing. Also, i think killers DC's also should count as a escape for survivors Adepts.

I think its the only problem with Adepts nowdays.

double pip adept got easier with resets, but 4k is way easier than red ranks adept before. You had to basically get 4k without using your power for iri chaser.

Achievements are not supposed to be easy.

A DC should count as a kill. Simple as. Ppl should not be able to ruin your work by DCing.

You think this is hard? Try Evil Incarnate, where survivors can simply jump into locker and you will never be able to mori them. That's gatekeeping. I had to wait over 20 minutes before he got out of that locker.

So what some survivors DC? It depends on your playstyle. Adept is easy when you tunnel from first hook, but there is high chance survivors will DC.

And... I'm not saying that should be possible either lol. If they don't rework him by then, I feel like they should give a special locker mori with those add-ons. Yet that didn't happen which is kinda dissapointing.

However, this is about killer adepts and dcing shouldn't rob you of your adepts nor Evil Incarnate.

achievements should not be possible to get for free.

if DC did count, then it would be so easy to get. Just shamelessy tunnel from first hook and you will get it. Wow, so hard.

This is such a weird take, I don't think I'll reply anymore.

    Have a good day.

I remember struggling so bad to get the tome challenge that needed you to kill 4 survivors in the basement in 1 game, my challenge was denied bc a survivor DCed on their last hook, even though the DC went through after the sacrifice animation played... we've been needing DCs on hook to count as kill for as long as I can remember.

I disagree about adepts being harder now, they're much easier tbh, but they shouldn't be denied bc someone DCed, at least not after you've hooked them, and definitely not when it's their last hook...

With all due respect that's a terrible take. I agree achievements shouldn't be too easy (I'm severly disapointed every time I get a survivor adept bc the killer is afk or DCs), but people DCing should absolutely not be taken into account when thinking about how difficult or balanced something is.

Not only this legitimizes DCing (which I don't think the devs want considering there's a penalty for doing it), but also how on earth do you justify the opponent's ability to stop you from getting an achievement when you've completed its requirements (or are about to) by literally just pressing a button? That's not something that makes it "more difficult" it's literally just the equivalent of someone throwing a board game bc they're about to lose so your pawn can't cross the finish line.
