2000+ Hours and I Still Don't Know How the Bloodweb Works!

So, I've been playing for 2000+ hours, and yet every time a new character comes out, I have to become familiar with the bloodweb before I am able to use the new auto-complete feature.

So, how DOES The bloodweb work?

Okay, jokes aside, I totally understand needing to become familar with the bloodweb for new players before you jump in with the autocomplete, but for those of us who have all survivors 3+ and most (if not all) killers 3+... Why is this still a thing for us?

I am honestly asking, is it a limitation in the game code that it can't be set to only require a single character to get to P1, or was it a choice that you have to manually do the bloodweb on EVERY SINGLE NEW CHARACTER?

I could even MAYBE see it as a requirement for new killers, since they have new and different addons, but other than the 30-sec to a minute it takes to read a survivors new perks, every survivor is 100% exactly the same.
