So how about a 5V5 gamemode
Like 4 Survivors and a Killer against another 4 Survivors and a Killer
One group will start on one side of the map and the other will start on the other side
Yes Maps will have to change
Perks will also have to be changed (for better or worse)
Also that the 4 Survivors don't hear the Killers heartbeat and Chase music that they are working with
The first team that either kills the other team or completes 3 Gens and escapes wins
The team will be rewarded for Kills and Gens completed
Separate MMR for this as well...
Anything that I missed... Any reason why you wouldn't want to try it out... Any other thoughts... let's discuss

I think they just need to add a playlist of different gamemodes that dont have balance in mind, but chaos.
This would fit perfectly

Fair enough...
But at least have this gamemode have different Grades and MMR

It sounds chaotic and fun on paper but a part of me worries it would become body block simulator with people on comms working well together to shut down loops/bodyblock the other team into spots. You could create some extremely unfun edge cases like 2 survivors get body blocked and the killer slugs/hooks your other two teammates. The two people bodyblocking won't let the survivors out to save until the people on hook are dead forcing people to stand around in corners unable to move. "Holding the game hostage" becomes a little murkier than the standard definition in this proposed game mode I'd think.

I mean... it would be an issue
But either completing 3 Gens or Killing the 4 other Survivors wins the match... what the Survivors do is on them
Gen regression perks won't be used in this mode... it's more on which team finishes the Gen... but if 1 Survivor on each team finishes a Gen then it will be added to the total
But yes that could happen... but it already happens so why not just continue the cycle

I think DBD is at its limit with 5 players in a lobby. I mean, connection issues happen as it is. I can't imagine them doubling the player count.

Yea if there's a DBD2 then it might get better

Sure, I could see it working in a sequel. But then I'm not sure a sequel could ever happen because of licensing.
Anyway, I would definitely like to see alternative game modes. Standard DBD is certainly beyond stale. I would take any other game mode they'd give us.

It would've been better if they fixed their coding while talking and implementing Halloween
Think about it for a second
1) it's a major license... their first
2) At that point they must've known that getting Halloween means that the game will get bigger and will lead to other licenses
3) Fix it before it gets ruined...
As for 3) it's where we are at...

I'd love to have the 8v2 game mode

I mean yea but this is a different version
And it would work well with SWF's... all they need is one more person a Killer main or someone who plays both sides
Solo's on the other hand... not so much

Early on the coding wasn't an issue because there was just functionally less of it.
The problems we have now tend to be because of additions to the game of years.
Keep in mind they've also switched engines which would have required cleaning up the code in a major way and redoing maps also helps with that as well. So likely their code is in a better state than it was in the past, but just now there is a lot more of it which means there more chances for something to go wrong.

they asking for it, but i think its boring (still normal dbd) and i guess killer will ez win cause maps are not created for 2 killers chasing a Survivor
