When will we start getting similar cosmetics to netease?
I mean come on the quality difference/style couldn't be any different between main game and netease when it comes to cosmetics and yet BHVR still hasn't realized that the netease cosmetics are well...better. If BHVR started making cosmetics in this style (even if it was only like one a month) I'm sure they'd sell like crazy just like they do in NE and in NE people pay even MORE for these types of cosmetics so when can main game have these or ones similar because after the lets be honest disaster that was the Brazil collection we all need some actually good looking skins in DBD main... (Also the fact that Kate Denson is now canonically a hatsune miku fan is so funny to me)

Also side note I think people would LOVE collections like these where every character gets the same outfit but in a different color/variant with one person getting several (aka the main focus) it seems simple enough and would really boost the overall cosmetic selection for characters who may not have many cosmetics

Can't tell if they're supposed to be as picturesque as shown in the promo images or not. But keep to a dirtied aesthetic, like the person has been running for a while.
Apart from that, sure whatever. Not sure how the monetization for DBDMobile is, if it's leveraging gacha systems or not.

One thing I never see mentioned is that ALL of these cosmetics are sets. There's not a single smidge of mix and match capability here because they're all locked.
And we all know how the core community feels about needlessly locked sets, don't we
8 -
Tbh Idc about them being sets. I've been playing NE ver for a bit and switched to NA/EU servers recently and I've not minded them being sets as much as I thought I would. Probably because they're so good by themselves.

Whatever is shown in the model preview pics is how they look in game.

In which case toss them down a few hills. There's a bit of dust and blood from what I can tell (not sure if that's translated in-game), but the outfits come across as way too... situationally sanitary. As though the character is ready for a photoshoot, instead of being caught off-guard, or in-the-moment.
I wouldn't be so picky about aesthetic if part of DBD's charm wasn't its aesthetic.

I can hardly recognize who is who, outside of some obvious ones like Claudette. Like who is the woman with Plague?

Yun-Jin I'm pretty sure
Edit: no Yui actually. The nose gives it away

Hot take: most of Netease cosmetics are not looking that good with some exceptions of course. Though even then is mostly only one piece out of it while they are all sets.
For the first few Netease exclusive releases i was totally on the side of we should get these but now.. eh. I don’t care.

Does it metter? Each survivor is just a skin. Only low ranks use original perks.

Damn i can't lie these are crazy 0_0

We are waiting for new updates for new chapters and maps and when we get the update "Hitbox is not fixed - add new bugs - Feng and Meg skins"
-Dead by daylight mobile

These are nice outfits, I wouldn't mind them being added.
0 -
aren't these all heavily gacha oriented as well where you have to pay quite a bit of money just to guarantee actually getting the skin at all
1 -
No ######### thanks.
I'll sooner accept whatever the worst bhvr has to offer in cosmetics than i'll ever accept the soulless garbage that is DBD Mobile cosmetics, ESPECIALLY Survivor cosmetics.

In Asia server yes but in global its actually pretty generous. I've only spent $20 and I got the highest rarity Feng Min skin in the recent 'gacha'. The skins change the portrait of the survivor and have animated effects too so its not like its just the skin
Edit: I also wasn't suggesting we implement the gacha system I was saying to add more cosmetics in similar styles or quality as the netease ones

I think you're honestly the first person I've seen say this. On social media I've only ever seen people complain about how dirty and nasty the cosmetics look and how if they were cleaner they'd be so much better lol. Btw the blood and stuff is visible/noticeable in game
0 -
Okay? Um don't really see why that matters because I'd say the majority from what I've seen do want more cosmetics like this but...okay!
0 -
Idk if its cause I have a lot of playtime but the characters look very easily distinguishable to me. The only time i couldn't tell who was who was the magician collection I couldn't tell if the girl in the box was Kate or Meg (It's Kate)

Just giving my two cents, in a discussion thread where I noticed that not the majority wants these cosmetics? Okay?

I can certainly see the appeal for cleaner cuts of outfits and designs.
Which works for games with a more cartoonish and simplistic design like Fortnite.
But DBD’s aesthetic is rooted more in horror, which is a more raw and primal concept, and relies a lot on atmosphere. Those Twitter complaints are proof that the designs feel a bit “uncomfortable”.
Its also not like Call of Duty where you can start releasing wild and zany skins near the end of a titles lifecycle because the next game is releasing shortly, effectively wiping the slate clean for a fresh coat of atmosphere and cashing in on the absurd factor.
DBD is one title, and any cosmetics released are going to stick around, so stick to an overarching theme to help cement your “brand”.

I honestly wouldn’t like this. I prefer it when the outfit suits the character and is made for them.
It also makes it harder to distinguish survivors apart, which is already difficult sometimes and not something they should make worse. I don’t want every survivor looking and feeling the same.

Imagine 4 Pro Claudettes in full Ninja outfits with their old blending powers.

It would be nice as long as they weren't linked sets and could be gotten directly. From what I understand though, the Netease cosmetics are basically off the table for regular dbd as they are owned by Netease rather than BHVR? Also, I don't know if the skins would look as good in desktop dbd due to the generally lackluster graphics we're working with. DBD mobile by and large is made in a much newer engine it seems.
0 -
What ranks? There are no ranks that mean anything skill wise in dbd.
0 -
Meg skins are rarely good and we don’t get them that often. Feng gets skins always. Meg isn’t even close.
0 -
BHVR will go out of their way to do the bare minimum, doubt we'd ever see good new skins. Just recolors of current ones. Netease puts in the work because these things sell. It's almost like BHVR hates money.
1 -
Aren't players matched by MMR? I feel like matchmaking is really bad but there are some paramaters. But anyways "new" players only use original perks. More advanced have already prestiged several characters or discovered shrine of secrets.
0 -
Facts. BHVR releases some banger skins occasionally but then they release something like the Brazil collection or Haddie Kaur....
2 -
I'm doubtful we will see any of those skins come to the main game
0 -
Again, not saying these skins but skins with a similar fashion or aesthetic. Aka HIGH EFFORT and HIGH QUALITY skins that look good.
0 -
I mean on ultra settings the cosmetics look really good and not that different from PC so I doubt that would be a problem
0 -
I mean its made FOR one character but then shared with others and made to suit them IE changing the designs and colors. And every survivor won't look the same its not all the same cosmetic its changed per survivor and in base game a SWF can all just dress the same anyways so that point of looking the same is kinda moot
0 -
Would be nice if they made the outfits start out clean and become dirty/bloody as the match progresses when being injured, running, performing rushed actions, etc.
They actually tested such a system years ago and then abandoned it with no explanation..
1 -
Please no, for the love of god. I'm sick of bright and overly flashy cosmetics in video games. Sure DBD has some bright ones, but at least they're not blatant and in some cases are deliberately muddied and dirtied to fit the theme of horror. PUBG's tone and art was ruined by these, then Siege to an extent, and so many more.
I'm here to kill people and avoid creatures from horror, not have a tea party with care bears.
2 -
Oh yeah I forgot they did that. It was sick
1 -
Similar to this, I wish you could get bloody variants if all of your other cosmetics via prestige like you do for your base skin
2 -
Whenever Netease allows them.
0 -
Not really moot. The SWF thing is one of the reasons why I don’t want this because that’s already bad, we shouldn’t be making it worse and more common.
But when I said difficulty distinguishing survivors, I meant more from a design perspective rather than a balance one. Sure survivors are just skins, but I find them cooler when they stand apart from each other, rather than everyone looking the same just with a different face and name.

Nah dude, I am from Netease version. Those gacha system are scam and those skins are not even that good. Netease do not understand that DBD is a horror game, not some fashioned game that your character should look good and neat. Instead of adding some maps and killers. They focused on releasing skins every update. For y'all to know, netease is trash. They scammed Southeast Asian players. They didn't let us migrate our old accounts like the bhvr version. We had no choice but to start all over again. I wonder why bhvr let this kind of game developers handle their game? Netease ruined our gaming experience.

Again, NOT asking for the gacha (I played on both SEA and Global vers I know how its like) but just the style and quality. Btw it is a fashion game atp. The only things to earn are cosmetics anyways + no ones forcing you to buy them
0 -
MMR isn't ranks. When people say ranks they mean prestige or their survivor/killers rank which means nothing. I saw a super toxic youtuber get mad because he got hooked while he was afk. He was going around telling everyone in the comments he was a P100 nurse as if that means anything. Anyone can have P100 nurse. That doesn't make you good at nurse.

I just want the moris for killer

#########.... That's rough. You did not even get compensation or something?

I love a lot of the NetEase excusive cometics. A lot of people do. I hope BHVR realizes that they would make a TON of money by releasing these cosmetics into the core game. People are nuts about them!
0 -
Not only are they only sets, but they are locked behind time-limited gacha banners. Leaving the door open to those would allow the current monetization of DBDCore to be a s**tshow. No thanks, we're better without those.
0 -
They could be sold normally in the core game, with auric cells... And I don't see why they would all have to be sets in the core game.
0 -
And any cosmetic could be available to buy at anytime, but we have time-limited collections thanks to greed. So don't worry, they could found a way to let them as sets and even add lootboxes!
