The Doctor shock shouldn’t prevent survivors from unhooking
Title^
The hooked survivor cannot unhook themselves without a help from a teammate. Please consider making The Doctors shock not affect unhooking.

nah, the doctor's shock is fine, he barely has any mobility to speak of. Leave it alone.

...What? Where did the mention of mobility come from?

It's an argument I made related to the fact that if he couldn't interrupt, he would be too weak.

he can still interrupt with a hit, just not with his power. He can literally stun lock survivors im pretty sure

It's his only anti-loop, being able to prevent vaulting for instance. No way we should make him weaker.

You can dodge it and then take a safe rescue without any worry of being grabbed, will take a couple of tries to learn the timing, but once you figure it out, you are good to go.
1 -
No you can’t dodge it.

that is not true, and its beside the point.
he will not be able to reach for the hit in the first place and this is precisely why it is okay for the power to work the way it currently does.
its a balanced killer, leave it alone.

For solo rescue keep in mind if you already start the unhook animation before his shock animation he can't interrupt you. Doc knows that so he wants to preemptively shock you. So you pretend to go for the unhook and then you back away, his shock pattern looks like a cone, it is thinner near Doc and wider as it goes forward, if he uses range addons the cone becomes even more thin. After you manage to dodge, you go in for a safe rescue. In case you don't manage to dodge, no biggie, you just repeat it until you get the timing.
For duo rescue, you simply wait for your teammate to get shocked and then you run in, if you stay at opposite sides of the hook he cant shock you both.

This, precisely.
He's fine, newer players just need to learn the way it works.

Oh, you misunderstand. They want it only to not stop a survivor unhooking. It'll still block vaulting, pallets, etc, just not unhooking survivors
