My idea to buff trapper
I believe this killer deservs more. Trapper is overall solid choice in lower MMR but he seems a little off between other survivors. He has some problems, tho we dont want and i believe we cant remove all of them, but some of them can be changed.
- Power visuals. Bear traps are nice, but in case of killers and monsters of unusual powers, he looks weak. My ida for this is to change his traps from regular beartraps to something like black tentacles growing from the ground that traps survivors and entagled them.
- His traps can trap him. This is just bad, he should not need to be carefull of stepping in his power. Maybe tentacles try to reach carried survs so active traps could slows him down while carrying survs, but those should not trap him.
- Traps are too much visible and easy to spot. I think those should be semi transparent, and with addon should be even more transparent. Power should not be so much dependant on map.

What about the basement?

Camping should be adressed by bhvr as a common nerf, not only for trapper traps. Thos i would not mind to disable his ability in basement. Yet this would not prevent him from trapping all entrances in the shack or at the top of basement stairs.

Otzdarva already gave a pretty good idea for a trapper rework. Let trapper interact with lockers and pull the farthest trap to him. Probably make it so it only works on unset/triggered traps (unless there are none) so you don't accidentally pull a set trap that you want to keep where it is.
Also I think changing the aesthetic is bad. Trapper is one of the less spooky/supernatural killers and works better as just a classic crazy slasher with a machete. Cosmetics are there for if you want something more. However what I could see being a good idea is finally giving killers unique cosmetic options for their power related items. Like cosmetics for Billy's saw, Wraith's bell, trapper's traps, Victor for the Twins, ect.
