Exclusive Comic-Charm
They said the Dwight-Crow charm is exclusive. Later they gifted it to everyone.
They said the Fruitcake charm is exclusive. Later they gifted it to everyone.
They said the Trapper-Charm is exclusive to everyone who bought that one game in a certain time. Now they gifted it to everyone.
I'm honest: I'm pretty mad about BHVR saying things are exclusive and then giving it to everyone.
How do we know that the Charm in the Comic will actually be exclusive (like BHVR states now)?

Do people care about charms much, honestly?
And this isn't intended to be snarky just to be clear.

Can't wait for the Exclusives from Meet Your Maker and Hooked on You ☠️ (i was temped to buy these games just for the exclusives... but after what they did with Death Garden and in-game events... i passed)
AND OMG, i bough Flippin Misfits because it was at reduced price, and they did it again!!!!
BHVR what excuse do you have now?
This time you can't play crazy like with prime gaming, this time you did use the word EXCLUSIVE

Yeah that's what I'm talking about. I spent $15 on Slippin Misfits just to get the charm and now that.
Guess I'll skip Meet your Maker then.

I care about not getting scammed by them saying something is Exclusive when it will be not.

will agree with the trapper atleast, was it not a thing for buying a whole game?

The problem is that you assume the definition of exclusive to mean : you can never have this except this one way.
An exclusive unlock that lets you have the content 6 months before everyone else is still exclusive.

It's a simple marketing tactic that works like a charm, every single time a company decides to use it. Some people will simply buy whatever, just because it's "exclusive" regardless of how useless said thing they're buying is.
In reality, it makes no sense. Why would the devs want to exclude people from their beloved and cherished community? You can't have a community if you go around excluding people based on the amount of money they're willing to spend on a virtual charm/skin/whatever. Yet they do, because it sells, and money matters the most to a company.

yes :s

Well it's not like you can get 99% of the other charms ever again so why does the whole Community get a Charm for free that people had actually to pay for?
I'm done with this scam. I'm gonna cancel my preorder for the comic.

It could be much worse. Gears 5 did something similar. They did a promotion at launch, that anyone who got a GoW theme tattoo would be given a very unique, striking and exclusive pvp skin. In less than a year or two they release that "exclusive" skin to every player 🤣 imagine literally getting tatood with a game logo for a unique bit of online loot to then see literally every other player get it for free 16 months down the line.

Damn that's pure evil :o

They never stated that it's indefinitely exclusive. Just that it is (for as long as they desire aka made enough money off of it). It sucks, and the best thing to do is maybe not fall for it if it bothers you as much.

Yh there were a few people who were EXTREMELY salty about that. And I can understand why. Kinda funny tho 😅

I agree that they should be more forthcoming and honest about items. If they intend for something to be made available at a later date, they should make that clear. "Charm is exclusive through X date." Don't expect too much from them because they want to have their cake and eat it too. They want people to believe something is exclusive but also want the flexibility to bring the item back! Look at the trailers for the battle pass, limited time and exclusive are heavily used so it's implied that these items would only be available through the battle pass. Why go through all the trouble of calling it exclusive? Why not say timed exclusive? So it's clear that these items are only exclusive for a specific window. Now we have the deep rift drama. The wording implies that these items are exclusive and won't be made available again, at least that's the impression everyone is under, but they haven't explicitly stated that. I wouldn't be surprised if those items are made available more broadly at a later date.

The question is, if this has happened so many times, why have you not realised that "exclusive bonus" means "exclusive for a time"?

Who knows for what things you pay money that others see as unnecessary.

Exclusivity sucks, so I'm kinda glad they give it through another way.
2 -
It's okay when there are no new Exclusives but then they shouldn't promote them as one.

If I remember correctly, that Trapper charm was only given if you were buying FM in a specific time-window. Unlike the MYM so far(?).

That's right.

So why do you want a Recruit Skin then? License Skins cost money. It does absolutely nothing in the game so buy groceries or clothes instead.
