Not sure about bots
I like the idea of bot filling in for survivor but if I'm playing killer and a bot loads in I'm just going to quit playing that match myself. There's no fun in playing against a ai. I want real people to play against not some ai either. As survivor I'm going to just quit trying too because I don't want to win just because some stupid piece of computer programing decided to sit on gens. If other people are happy about it I'm glad for you it's just not something that I care for.

How do you currently handle matches where a survivor disconnects?

I had no idea this game was balanced enough and was so big on the Esports scene that people worry about their pride.

Unless it's endgame or someone quits on death hook I stop playing and watch YouTube until they leave. As survivor I go cleanse totems and try to make points until our inevitable death.

It's not pride lol. It's just I play this for real human interaction. I don't want to play against bots. I have single player games for that.

Once one person is gone there one thing running around the lobby doing god knows what. I don't want a chase with something that I don't care about. I'm not gonna chase the bot but if I don't it's gonna pump gens out. It's gonna put my games into a state that I'm just not interested in anymore. I'm not saying don't bring bots in. I'm just voicing my opinion on it.

You end your original post with "it's just not something that I care for" as if this is going to negatively impact you, but unless I'm mistaken, you're saying this update isn't going to change the way you play at all. If this isn't going to effect you, then why is it worth being negative about?

I think if all 4 survivors quit then the killer should be able to end the match early unpenalized.

Because personally I would like a different response to dcs. I would like an answer that actually affects me. I understand that they aren't going to change what happens just so I'm happy but I would like a feature called move on available to killer if someone dcs. I just want to be able to quit and start another match. Give the survivors a nice BP bonus too. I don't care about points or pips at that point. I just want to start the next match

That makes sense. You didn't mention that in your original post.
A lot of people have asked for this option when someone disconnects. Amusingly, it probably would've been easier to implement than bots.
The one thing I'd say against that option is I've had a lot of survivors disconnect near the end of the match (probably an actual crash or disconnection problem) when we're winning and I'm about to complete some Tome Challenge, and if the killer then forfeited the match I'd be pretty pissed. It's an unnatural end to the match which could cause problems. If a player would prefer to continue playing after a dc, the bots make the dc less disruptive; if players prefer to give up after a dc, the bots make no difference whatsoever.

yeah i post on here when i'm at work on break so i didn't put every idea i had into the first post. i should have proof read it again before posting but you know, boss likes us to work.
and i would suggest a disable of the forfeit if so many generators are finished to avoid those kinds of situations. i'm mostly thinking of those times when a survivor on first down of the game dc's. i don't want to be there any more. i highly doubt any of the survivors want to be in the game anymore. late game dc's are a whole other kettle of fish

Why are we acting like its going to be 1 bot?
1 DC means the others are more prone to DC now.
If im playing against 2 or 3 bots ill just ######### leave.

If more than one person leaves and they have a bot to replace that person, they're throwing away a game they can still potentially win.

There being an AI means that it shouldn't be that big of an issue anymore, but people will DC because other people do anyways.
