A serious discussion about game changes and ideas I think would turn DBD to a very healthy state

Before I start, I know a lot of you may not like these changes but I personally think that they would make the games overall flow feel a lot better, make it more challenging for both sides and make the average player learn to play better. I will be including my thoughts on why these changes should happen below the potential idea change. Also, sorry in advance if some parts of this post feel congested.


Survivor

Survivor Items

Item variety serves no purpose, they should be merged and removed to move items into a healthy state. Each flashlight should only drop as a very rare item to build into the survival aspect, only defined by their addons not base stats and the player would ONLY be able to use 1 specific add-on of the same type twice.

Example:

Equip universal base 12s flashlight item*, Equip Rubber Grip and Leather grip accuracy add-ons (an uncommon and common), Equip 1 Long life battery add-on (rare), Equip Power Bulb Add-on (common), Equip wide lens.

Flashlight example preview:

Sport flashlight:

  • 12 seconds of use
  • Increases the accuracy of the flashlight beam by 60%
  • Adds 6 seconds of use to the flashlight
  • Increases the brightness of the flashlight beam by 20%
  • Increases blindness duration by 10%
  • Decreases the range of the flashlight beam by 25%
  • Increases the width of the flashlight beam by 25%

Now I know what you're all thinking, that would make the flashlight too strong now, that's why the devs should also nerf the add-ons accordingly and only 1 add-on type should be allowed to be equipped twice. They could also lower the add-on limit from 5 to 4. This change would make nerfing items more impactful by just changing an add-on rather than an entire overhaul.


Disconnecting

If someone disconnects in the lobby:

  • Replaced by a bot with half of killers MMR until they reconnect within 1 minute

This would be a one time thing per match and It won't be abusable because the killers actions would still follow through while the person has disconnected.

  • If person reconnects gameplay resumes as normal and the bot is removed
  • If they fail to reconnect, everyone gains base BP + progressive BP

If they still do not reconnect after the timer has expired, the bot would be adjusted to half of the killers MMR so it would still be moderate difficulty to remove the bot from the game however it would not consume too much time. Every other person within the game would also receive 40k BP each as well as extra BP for every second they are still in the game.

OR (Alternate mode if devs do not want to add bots)

  • Endurance mode with faster movement for everyone and base BP + progressive BP effects.

The idea behind this one is to keep the flow of the game the same but increase rewards for doing objectives, making everyone still in the game work harder and still be rewarded for their time as well as making the match less excruciating. The progress of everything receives a buff (like gen speed, killer hooking, killer swinging etc) and exciting music also starts to play maybe? (the music might be a little too much as some people will like it and some will hate it, I'll leave that up to the dev's).


Gen Rushing and Tunnelling suggestion:

  • If X amount of gens are done within X amount of time, spawn in a unique AI killer to help the killer for X amount of time
  • survivors can remove the AI killer before the timer expires by attacking him from behind with a prompt (3 separate attacks)
  • Player controlled killer can kill the AI killer before the timer expires by attacking him with any 3 hits.
  • AI Killer will NOT be affected by any killer equipped perks/addons

This would help reduce the pressure to tunnel someone as fast as possible. Survivors will get a red text warning on their screen when the AI killer spawns. The AI killer would be able to bodyblock the player killer and both players and killers would be able to kill the AI killer. (I don't want to make tunnelling and gen rushing the main topic of this post, I wanted to just add a suggestion for it so please don't make this the main discussion, thanks!)


Killer

Hex: Ruin

Now I know what you're all thinking; this would be too "broken", however.. when a killer doesn't tunnel and they do patrol gens, it is vital in helping them patrol gens. The trade-off here would be that the killer would WANT to patrol the HEX too with his rotation. My only main issue is how oppressive it would be with other perks... Maybe just remove other perks entirely or disable them for the time being? I really don't know so I'll leave that to dev's to decide.


Killer Ability Spam

  • All abilities have a bigger cooldown

Ability spam in general should not feel as heavy as it does, I understand it's a base mechanic of the game and helps with the general flow but there needs to be a harsher cooldowns on them to force killers to want to chase and swing at survivors instead of say, using blight to just constantly sprint around the map with no punishment, or huntress to throw hatchets around the map with no CD. I understand that people might not be happy about this suggestion but who's ever happy about change? Sometimes it's vital to make something better and I'm sure everyone can adjust. I did not want to list a particular set of suggestions here but just state my opinion on it and at least put this thought into the developers' minds and let them know that this would possibly be a welcomed change.
