Character Momentum

Are survivors supposed to be able to actively push a killer? Like, killer is carrying a survivor and another survivor runs into me, and my forward walking motion is over powered by the survivor enough to push me into a pallet hitbox. Pick up happened outside a maze tile and while walking to a hook this took place.

I play on Switch so I'm kinda wondering if the walking momentum is shared between the forward and side directions of the joystick where as on pc they can hold w and have all moment go towards that one direction. Idk, just pondering since I had a weird and unfortunate end game from this.

No, characters shouldn’t be able to push other characters at all.

though what might happen is some latency going on, where your position is slightly different on their end/screen and they run to your actual position and then new server validation corrects both of your positions slightly from one another?

that and maybe also some animations that position characters slightly, eg when they get the pallet but are slightly off for the animation their character gets adjusted and then your character needs to get adjusted as well.

the only time a survivor can push a killer is if the killer hits the survivor and the survivor uses their intangibility after getting hit to move the killer, its funny seeing video's of survivors pushing killers of a ledge after they hit them

Not sure then. It must have been some combination of survivor wiggle movement (no boil over) and possibly me swinging at the other survivor. Still weird since my pathing never should have brought me withing the pallets hitbox. Just DBD things I guess.
