Proposed facecamp changes sound pretty bad.

So let me start by saying I HATE facecamping as a tactic, particularly early in a game. But seeing the proposed mechanics to eliminate face camping is ring alarm bells with me a bit, they just don't look like they'll help much. Being able to auto self unhook won't be very helpful against a killer determined to get a kill on you because they can simply tunnel you straight off the hook.

And from the killer perspective, against an extremely good team facecamping can often be the only way to secure a single kill or a couple extra hook states in the end game. No killer likes a 0 kill game, they are extremely frustrating.

This change looks like it'll benefit high mmr surv teams the most who'll be able to abuse the mechanic for more 4 man out games. Whilst not helping low mmr survs because tunneling them off hook is so easy.

It'll certainly prevent a survivor dying on first hook to a face camp and stretch out the survs gake time and bp gain which is definitely good, but I feel it'll do a lot of harm to the game, particularly at high mmr, where survs already have a big advantage.

Thing is, this isn't an issue with the facecamping measure. It's an issue with how the tunnelling measures doesn't really do anything at all versus the actual problematic tunnellers.

Though I really don't know how to handle a killer like Nurse in particular, since she really does just shrug off a DS, even if it was a 5-second stun.

Standing by the hook waiting for points to come to you is an overly used playstyle. This is meant to correct that. As you said, if a killer wants to tunnel that survivor then they still have that option. I would advise you to stand right by the hook if you still want to camp. So you have a better chance of hitting them as soon as they get off of the hook themselves.

I kind of wish that on top of being able to unhook yourself, when the bar fills up, the hook timer would also be paused for a bit, to really make sure this change nerfs camping enough. So if you choose to not unhook yourself, you can just wait on the hook and make sure the killer is wasting even more time.

The fact that sometimes camping is the only way to secure a kill against really good swf teams is a seperate problem in my opinion, which should be addressed in a more healthy way. Ideally by balancing maps better, but who knows if that will ever happen properly.

Both camping and tunneling are strategies that can only be as effective as they are because of the base game design of being able to remove a player from the match.

Taking a DS reset power bar? Honestly it hurts Doctor the most, but Nurse is still almost nothing. The only fair part is Blight/Spirit.

taking a DS makes power unable to be used for some time? So, it won't affect Doctor and most other killers that much, since they need to close the distance first, but won't let Nurse, Blight and Spirit to catch up immediatly
