Why is killer swing so bad in console?

At least on PS5, the amount of hits I miss because the swing just automatically switches to hit a wall, or it simply just falls short is insane. So many hits that should have landed just don't, I see killer's swings from pc players and they are long, fast and steady, meanwhile in console is just a joke.

Yeah that tends to happen, or when a survivor spins and they sort of run into you and away it only lets you do a short lunge sometimes.

I put a bug report about this. I've had to adapt to reduce those hits from happening, which means that I have to be more careful and choosey.

Although I can't say what's happening exactly, hopefully the new chapter shall bring about fixes which will address this.

Part of the problem has always been the Aim Dressing getting very confused in tight spots. I've lost many a hit because of it and instead smacking walls, trees, rocks, thin air. There's something about survs butt wiggling and partially spinning around that the blessed Aim Dressing just can't handle.

It's never going to change unfortunately. I played on Xbox for like 2.5 years and it slowly got worse and worse. I play on PC now and it's actually insane how broken the game is on console in comparison to PC.

The biggest one for me was how much of a difference there is between having a survivor spin you after the first hit. On console it's so easy to completely lose the target and be left standing there having no clue which direction they went. On PC it's virtually impossible to lose the target unless they're running some perks that hide scratch marks etc.

I play on Xbox from time to time if I'm having a few beers in my living room and I end up turning it off after 1 game because it's so frustrating when you're used to playing on PC.
