Idea for a change to prevent survivors from waiting at the gates
I know that this sounds childish, but I really hate it when survivors stand at the gates waiting for the killer, just to get downed straight into an escape. I know that you won, but I don’t see a need for you to waste the killer’s time. I just say gg and move on, but apparently many people don’t have that same mentality. So I propose an idea to make survivors think twice before taunting the killer at the gates. I think that if you make it so when you down a survivor, the gates are blocked for that survivor for a few seconds, allowing the killer to pick them up and take them to a hook. This could prevent bming at the gates and instead actually make games go by a lot faster, but it’s just a thought.

Your idea sounds similar to the killer perk Blood Warden. Thing is, you’ve gotta down & hook a survivor while the others are in the trial & after the exit gates have been opened.

But downing is followed-up by hooking the individual which means the remaining survivors can start thinking about how to save. It is actually a very interesting (and often rewarding) part of a match. And toxic in case you can't save - god forbid the survivor is "high pres" meaning they are "entitled" to lecturing you.
Taunting is annoying when all 4 are at the gates and you know you cannot do any sacrifice anymore. This is where blocking would be lovely. A simple algorithm that checks how long players stand just before the exit line. Not just block it but make them all exposed.

Just make the EGC timer go FASTER for each survivor sitting inside the exit area. Makes it so they can't just sit in there and heal each other and try and go for saves, they have to actually put themselves in danger. And it solves the problem because if they are hanging out in the gate, the timer will go faster forcing them to just leave sooner. Maybe like 50% faster per survivor? So EGC would take:
1 survivor: 80 seconds
2 survivors: 60 seconds
3 survivors: 48 seconds
4 survivors: 40 seconds
This would only apply if they are sitting in the zone. Maybe even make it so it takes a second or 2 for it to take effect so they can just run straight out without a penalty.

This is really one of those situations where some of y’all just gotta grow a thicker skin or find something. Else to do. If you know you’ve lost and all 4 survivors are at the gates and going to escape, go find something else to do. Break walls and pallets that are left over for extra BP. Just run around the map or go AFK and get a drink and wait for them to leave.
There are so many more seriously broken parts of this game that need attention rather than punishing survivors for standing at exit gates because killers don’t like it.
I don’t wait at gates myself cuz I think it’s dumb but still, this is such a non-issue.
I’ll offer you a tip tho. Play tombstone Myers. Can’t tell you how many endgame moris I’ve gotten from people standing at the edge of exit gate waiting for me to hit them out instead of just leaving. Use it to your advantage.

Thats not nice from the survivor If the killer had a tough match. I think this kind of survivor never played killer or they are survivor mains.
But.... You never know what you will see at the gate. Sometimes I give my medkit to say thank you for the match and give you the kill as a gift.
Don't let that get close to you.
