How to link & merge Steam to Epic properly?

Hello!

Long story short I would like to play DBD on Epic instead of Steam so I can play while my siblings are using my games through the Steam family share thingy, and I just want to make sure I'm not messing things up after reading about people losing all their progress.

My BHVR & Steam accounts are already linked, so do I just need to link my Epic Games account for it to work? I really don't want risking my (non-existent) Epic progress to override my 1500 hours of grind lol.

Also, will the DLCs I bought through steam instead of the in-game store be transferred as well (including Stranger Things) ?

Finally not that it matters much but will achievements also be merged across the two platforms?

As far as I know you just link your Epic account and then merge the two accounts. There has been a bug going on which resulted in some progress loss but since then I would guess they would have fixed it! (The merge function was deactivated for some time because of this but reenabled)

achievments don’t get transferred at all (though the prestige ones will unlock immediately after starting the game as you have met the requirements)

otherwsie, yes, all purchases should show up on both accounts, including Stranger Things. Only auric cells you have bought from the platform store stay exclusive to that platform. (I think auric cells from the premium track of the rift would be shared though)

Keep in mind that if you decide to unlink the accounts, then you will lose the progress made while the accounts were linked!

also if you notice any loss after merging, I guess you should contact support as they may look into your accounts
