The Hypothetical Meta

Unique perks are now locked to their respective characters, i.e. they can only use their own perks and those from the shared pool. What would the meta look like?

For Survivors, I imagine Meg would be the most popular choice. Quick & Quiet isn’t the best of perks, but Adrenaline and Sprint Burst are both ridiculously strong choices. Throw in the (soon to be over-tuned) Déjà Vu along with Kindred, and it wouldn’t be a bad build. Before the Dead Hard nerf, I could have seen people picking David just for that perk alone. While Windows of Opportunity sees incredibly widespread use, I don’t think anyone would run Kate just for that.

For Killers, I could honestly see Clown’s usage increase considerably. All of his perks are solid, with Pop set to receive a buff soon. Coulrophobia has a place in any meta with reduced healing, but I’m not sure you’d want to run it without Distressing. He also has that innate slown-down/speed-up to help take some of the sting out of a possible 'Megta.' Alternatively, there’d be an increase in Blights and Nurses, because they’re probably the least reliant on perks. As for pool perks, NOED would likely become a staple, maybe even Fearmonger.

Like I said, just being hypothetical. I’m not actually advocating this as a change (that would be an hilariously bad idea). I just wanted to see what other people thought, really.

    Was about to say "Fearmonger? Isn't that a demo perk?" And then remembered. He was taken too soon; we still need a blighted demo ;-;

    Kate also has Boil over which is pretty good. Unfortunately I think people would stick to characters with exhaustion perks, Meg would be absolutely be the strongest, but Feng Min also has Alert which is pretty underrated. Zarina would be pretty good too.

    Boil Over is pretty good, yeah, but I don't really think it provides consistent value by itself, or at least not enough to steer people away from God Emperor Meg. I think what Killers you'd see would have a higher chance of variance than Survivors.

    Do you have to use all of their perks or can you use only one?

    Plus the base perks might need to be looked at... at some point

    The perks are locked to their character, as in they're the only one able to use them, but they don't have to use them.

    So it looks like I'd be playing other Survivors...

    Meg would be the strongest survivor and there would be 1-4 in every lobby. Feng would be meta because of Lithe, but Alert also being a decent perk. Outside of that, maybe an odd Dwight, Nea, Claud. You'd never see Jake or David, ever.
