Steam Deck input delay

I don’t know if this is something that can even be fixed but there is an extremely noticeable input delay when playing Dead by Daylight on the Steam Deck that makes the game feel really bad to play. I tried using my Xbox controller because that’s what I use on PC and had the same issue so it isn’t the Steam Deck’s controls specifically but rather some issue with the game communicating with the controls.
