EMPs in-hand need to be accounted for

while playing as the singularity it's not uncommon for my biopod to be emp'd, i destroy and replace it, infect the survivor, they emp themselves and the new biopod, i destroy and replace it, and they grab a new EMP. i feel like i'm constantly fighting uphill just to infect survivors.

i think that if a survivor takes an EMP from the box, the box they took it from can't even start generating a new one until the old one is used. or, if a survivor takes an EMP and doesn't use it, it breaks automatically.

survivors having EMPs in hand needs to be accounted for before the singularity feels balanced, because they either don't prepare and die easily or grab every EMP they can way before they'll ever need them and i have no power all game.

edit: just had a game where i, through an emp'd biopod, watched two survivors with EMPs in their hands use one just to refresh the EMP duration and then grab a new one out of the already open box that was next to their gen. they probably emp'd that biopod using the emp from that box, and in that time grabbed a fresh one to replace it before the EMP ran out.

i'm also annoyed that infecting a survivor is their cue to use the EMP they've been holding for the last 3 minutes. they shouldn't be able to be infected and then EMP before i can chase them while standing directly under my biopod. it is so frustrating to have absolutely no means to punish them not caring about the power for literally 70% of the match.

i just had a survivor be standing in front of my camera. i infected them. he used an EMP. while my second shot was firing towards him, it got EMP'd. so i had to hit him a THIRD TIME to actually INFECT him. and in that time he opened the exit gate and left.

    something is wrong with this.

They need to remove the EMPs.

His power is so clunky and bad... survivors has no right to press a button and REMOVE a killer's power.

    It's assinine!

i just had three survivors that had run out of EMPs go complete stealth mode while waiting for more EMPs to cook so they had more EMPs to beat me with.

i'm going to keep bumping my post because survivors can literally just stall the game to get the resources they need to win against their killer. they can snowball EMPs. it's a problem.

i don't think the EMPs should be removed. i just think that the boxes need to give them less plentifully.

either make one box open at a time, or if an EMP is taken from a box the box won't make a new one until that EMP is used, and make EMPs only affect up to 3 things in their aoe

alternatively, make it so that being in a biopod makes it unable to be EMP'd. or make it so that only X biopods can be disabled at once. or allow biopods to create biopods.

i had a group of survivors use an EMP to cleanse all 4 of them + disable a biopod while i was trying to teleport to them through the biopod. the other three all had EMPs in hand. there's no way to deal with that.

The reason I say it should be removed completely is because they will never nerf it to a point where it will makes sense.

    They are too timid.

Removing it the boxes would literally fix the killer instantly.

removing the EMPs would break the killer instantly. there would be no way to repair gens and open the gates, ever.

I think if they reduced the horizontal range a bit and increased the time it takes to trigger one to be just longer than it takes a bio pod to go through infecting and triggering a teleport that would help things (at least from my experience in games this evening).

A survivor noticing I’m controlling a bio pod that’s looking at them should feel prompted to try and break line of sight or move … anywhere. Right now I’ve had survivors get up from a gen, walk closer to the bio pod, fire their EMP, and then stroll back to the gen. It was kind of funny the first few times, less so now.
