How a Doppelganger Killer would work

I know this is a discussion that has been surrounding the DBD community for some time, and people say maybe this wouldn't work or would be counter by sfw. Here are some reasons that this may not happen, and may be fun even when going against SFW. Some considerations:

The Doppelganger killer has a default mode (with his own unique form), and power mode, that he can turn into another killer or another survivor. Considerations regarding this power:

  • While in power mode (survivor) the killer can drop down a limited amount of pallets, but they can't never break the ones he dropped. (Which would make him not drop check for example, since it would become an infinite loop and even more safe).
  • While in the power, the doppelganger can turn into any survivor present in the game.
  • To gain his power, he must gather enough "cells" or anything of the sort. He can do this by maybe stalking survivors (that's just a thought), while in default mode. This would give the survivors the chance to see it's a doppelganger killer before the time. If he isn't found, he can then activate this power that stays for maybe 30 to one minute per time.
  • The Doppelganger killer can also turn into a killer once or twice game, to deceive the survivors. In an SFW game, for example, he can show as a normal killer in the beginning of the game, but deceive the survivors who don't give the proper call after, by turning into one of them. (Even as any killer, he would not have any of their powers, just a normal hit).

These are just some considerations and things I thought about while in the shower. What do you guys think? this would work? is there something else you would add?

    Maybe he could stalk them (to learn how they behave) and then he needs to hit them (to get there DNA).

    Then he can turn into the survivor.


    But the problem is against squads, anybody as soon as the killer turns or they see the killer as them self can just call it out. So all of the Doppelgangers abilitys would be useless.

    Did you already think of any solution for this?
