I mean are they wrong.
Cakes are so easy to get you could literally put in a single BP code and get them.
Zero reason to not use one. Had someone offer a map over bringing a cake lol. Fist pumped when the killer DC'D.

Seeing how it's the first day of the event. Yes they are wrong.
People seem to forget that not everybody is a hardcore gamer who plays this game 6+ hours a day and has millions of bp saved up weeks in advance specifically for this event.
I didn't have bp when the event started. They all went to singularity and Gabriel. And the lower level bloodpools don't guarantie the cake so my first match was without cakes.
I can also be pretty impulsive about who i play so it happens that i put my bp into billy and then right before queueing up i realise i haven't played Legion in a while and switched to them. No cake for that match either.
There are honestly dozens of good reasons why someone might not have a cake, especially on the first day

If you don't spend your BP on the character you are playing then you might not have any.
And a lot of people would've just bought new characters they would probably be levelling them up but not playing them as they are too low level.

I had most survivors not bring any cakes today. I still let them go since i know they need to escape for masks.
Would be nice to get bloodpoints but what can you do.
Dcing because of not getting 5 cakes is kinda silly. Especially with survivors since you can't expect the killer to play nice. ( im assuming this person was playing survivor)

It hurts to see when we bring 4+ cakes and some of my teammates die at 6k BP. It's quite sad.
Some just play stupid and hook farm near killer not really caring about playing out the game. But the fault lies on both sides.

I mean you have to remember too that people playing this game can play whatever offerings they want. It’s not up to me or you or anyone else to play a cake offering to make another player happy. Will I play them? Yes, but when I choose to. If I load into a game and no one plays one then that’s fine, if I’m the only one playing one that’s fine, just play and enjoy the game.

If I'm right in thinking, won't the Terrormisu offerings still be usable once the event ends? I've seen people bring in the gateau and cakes from previous events even in the past couple of weeks!

say what you want, but i'm probably going to play killer and try to kill people as quickly as possible - which thereby negates the benefit of a cake anyway to whoever i kill.

I've noticed that when I bring a cake the survivors assume that I want to play for event points or whatever. Do survivor players expect killers to do this? Anyway, the one in my face nodding her head up and down got an axe in the face.

Actually they don't, all they need is for either exit gate/hatch to be open with one charge for the masks.
But you can still let them go if you want.

Yeah im trying to play little nicely at least few first days. Also letting them open the gates pretty much means you are letting them go unless you slug them and open the gates yourself...but thats too much of a hassle.
Tomorrow i will probably play normally again since most people have gotten some masks already.

Yeah when it comes to events I usually just 2 hook each survivor and let them go.
