A Question About the Community Event Challenges

Do you have to have those challenges selected in order for any of your personal progress to contribute to the community goal, or will anything you do contribute to it regardless?

    Yes you have to have the challenge selected and complete them as an individual. You can't progress to the next stage until the community target has been reached (and you contributed)
