I am starting to lose hope for cross progression
Been playing on ps4 for years, but it's getting worse. I am unsure if I want to keep playing as a last-generation console player. 😅
The killer I play the most is feeling really janky now, even more than before. I know it's way cleaner on PC, but woah. I can really feel the motion sickness in great detail, I have tried playing dbd on PC before, and I really, really have been hoping they add cross-progression cause I don't know how much longer I can take the fps drops. 😭
Should I save for a Ps5 and give up on cross-progression to PC.

I'd recommend ps5

I'd recommend saving, honestly.
It's clear BHVR is either incapable or simply doesn't care enough to pull through on their optimization promises. I wonder why cross-progression isn't happening. I'll give a hint.
Sorry that you've been getting motion sick. Only a few treasured last-gen players remain. Now, if only we could get 60 FPS. You know, I think there was a thread about that once.

I held out for ages on the Switch before just making the move to PS5. I refuse to buy everything all over again, I've just grabbed my favourites, but I don't regret doing it. At this point I consider cross progression just a nice bonus of getting all my older stuff back, if it should ever happen.

I love my PS5 and DbD plays very well on it. I remember the pain of playing on PS4 (the games after the first Resident Evil chapter were like slideshows) and highly recommend the upgrade if you want to keep your DLC and cosmetics.

I don't think they will ever release cross-progression. I just wish they never had mentioned it as well.

I think sony are stopping X progression

From their comments i assumed it would not come.
I switched to PC after a year on PS4. Now i play both.
A bit more on PC but PS4 is still pretty ok to play for me. But some killers i can´t play on Controller.

One of my favorite games put out an update a few days back. They made it happen on the strongest of the last gen machines, when they obviously didn't have to, and are a much smaller developer too. Also Canadian. And the Long Dark is two years older than DBD as well. Just sayin.

I don't think Sony or Microsoft is to blame here. COD, Fortnite, Destiny 2, Diablo IV (to name a few) all have cross-progression and with Destiny 2 they added it well after the fact.
So, there is no reason to not have it with DBD outside of BHVR not wanting or knowing how to do it.
